Well established, they provide a fully integrated building services package utilising key specialists and subcontractors in most market sectors including Retail, Leisure, Education, Defence, Residential, Food Process, Student Accommodation, Process Engineering, Commercial and Hospitals. They are able to offer clients a complete Design and Build service or an Installation and Co-ordination service (for pre-designed projects). All services designs are created using the latest Advanced Engineering and Computer Aided Design Software highlighting the potential merits of introducing sustainable products and any future commercial advantages this may have. To become an integral part of their design team, they are looking to bring on board a HVAC/CAD Engineer with solid experience working in the Building Services industry.
Applicants should possess:
Full knowledge of AutoCAD and ideally experience in producing M&E CAD drawings.
Knowledge of mechanical services installations, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
Knowledge of guides and regulations associated with mechanical services designs.
Some knowledge of Hevacomp or similar design packages.
Computer literate.

They now have an opportunity available within the Operations (Project Management) team for a Resource Coordinator to join them to successfully coordinate the resource assignment of Project Managers and teams at various stages of the project lifecycle by working closely with the Planning Manager and Senior Managers; ensuring all projects are being scheduled efficiently, effectively and profitably.
Coordinating the allocation of resource to projects, you will escalate conflicts and shortfalls in resources and look into, and suggest, appropriate options for resolution. Managing the end to end process for resource coordination and allocation, you must work with the Planning Manager to analyse and prepare resource for future peaks in workload and work with the team to ensure R&R documents for projects are completed.
Regularly carrying out resource reviews, you will also manage the Operations Department holiday spread sheet and coordinate the sign off of requested holidays through the central planning function. You will also be responsible for booking and tracking freelance support to supplement peaks in workload as well as managing the departmental freelance database.
A dynamic and confident hard worker with a strong process approach and good planning and organisational skills, you will be a strong problem solver with common sense and initiative in abundance. The role requires a razor sharp attention to detail and the passion and personality to inspire colleagues coupled with a keen commercial awareness and business acumen.

Software Development Team Leader - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Our client is currently recruiting for a Software Development Team Leader to be based in Leeds city centre. A lead role in the development of high quality software, architecture, systems and solutions using the latest technologies to ensure that our client continues to provide products and services which meet and exceed their customer requirements. The Software Development Team Leader will project lead the work of the development team covering the whole spectrum of application development, develop consistent processes and standards as well as undertake individual development projects.
Software Development Team Leader Key Accountabilities
• To project manage the work of the development team to ensure they deliver high quality software, architecture, systems and solutions using the latest technologies to ensure that our client continues to provide products and services which meet and exceed customer requirements.
• Work within the remit of the project management methodology to deliver specified project objectives with the aim of achieving agreed deadlines, escalating any exceptions with rationale.
• Be in a position to provide up to date information on all development work. Provide the Head of IT with regular weekly update reporting in order to monitor tasks and individual performance.
• Plan and create work packages for other software development personnel to execute specific project deliverables. Actively support the development team in the delivery of a professional, customer focused and high performing development service in line with agreed service scope and service levels.
• Facilitate and fully participate in team development projects and provide support and assistance on projects in a proactive way ensuring that development tasks are appropriately documented.
• Assist with professional development of team members to enhance skills and promote cross-skilling. Ensure that all software is not reliant upon one member of the development team to maintain / enhance.
• Development and communication of consistent processes, code standards, code documentation, version and release control. Ensure all members of the development team are inducted and refreshed to be able to comply with these standards. Undertake regular QA work of packages that have been created by other software development personnel to ensure compliance with standards and delivery of specific business requirements. Ensure final development work is stored centrally to support business continuity.
• Responsible for the business continuity of the software development environment including back up of source code onto the server, ensuring tapes are taken off site and that sufficient information is saved on a hosted cloud facility to mitigate risks.
• To undertake individual development tasks including the creation of User Requirements and Technical Specification documentation as appropriate and delivering in line with code standards, code documentation, version and release control.
• Actively build your knowledge of latest development technologies by study and research to ensure you are able to proactively take a technical lead on developments and seek feedback from your colleagues on your performance.
Software Development Team Leader Qualifications & Experience
• Windows and Web application development skills utilising the latest Microsoft development tools and technologies.
• Understanding and implementation of object orientated development techniques and principles.
Software Development Team Leader IT Experience
• Visual Studio.Net Languages Emphasis on C#, ADO.Net, ASP.Net & MVC Framework
• Client Side Technologies such as CSS, JavaScript & JQuery
• Understanding of mobile platform development tools & technologies
• Borland Delphi Development Please note: this list will be revised at least annually to ensure the role progresses in line with technology enhancements.
Software Development Team Leader Skills & Competencies
• Effective and proactive leadership of development projects and the delivery of project objectives within specified deadlines. Able to establish clear definitions and requirements before commencing on programming phase, demonstrate ownership of projects, making decisions and handling all management aspects needed to reach successful conclusions.
• Evidence of full configuration management and development documentation, to manage code archiving and version releases
• Facilitate the analysis and design process with evidence of engaging development colleagues to deliver a quality result.
• Demonstrable experience of delivering high quality low maintenance products as perceived by user feedback.
• Request and action plan on the basis of regular customer feedback.
• Design standard processes and procedures and audit performance against these standards with the aim of building individual and business capability.
• Coach and support development specialists to build and maintain a high performing team.
• Evidence of actively focusing on self-development and increasing knowledge and ability demonstrated by developer certification in specific technology areas.

£24,698 - £28,403 basic + on call allowance £150 p/month + bonus and benefits About the role Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Mechanical Technician will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of a full range of mechanical systems (routine and breakdown). The successful candidate will work closely with the other members of the Maintenance team and contribute to a multi disciplined team working to ISO14001 and company systems of work, to satisfy safety and environmental requirements. Key responsibilities of the role include routine maintenance following a plan that is computer generated, however, there is an element of reactive work to ensure the smooth operation of the plant. This will include fault finding under demanding time constraints. The successful candidate will also be given minor projects to complete which will involve new installation work. The successful candidate will also form part of a 24 hour call out rota responding to plant breakdowns. Working extended hours during shutdown periods and working outside normal hours to attend to breakdowns. The completion of requested ad hoc tasks will also be part of this role. Skills: A basic knowledge and experience of burning and welding would be expected. Experience of using machine tooling, lathes, bearing presses, mechanical saws etc would also be an advantage. Demonstration of lifting/slinging and crane operations will be required. Knowledge of working on steam turbines and its associated ancillary equipment would be positive. Candidates will require 5 years experience of working in the power generation or chemical industry or similar, and have experience of working in a multi disciplined role. Qualifications: Qualifications and experience Ideally you will be qualified to an ONC/BTEC level in Mechanical Engineering. Demonstrable knowledge of working on all mechanical installations found within the process industry e.g. gearboxes, conveying systems, overhead and pendant crane systems, pressure relief and isolation valves.
