Their services include water system risk assessments, monitoring, control and prevention services and advice, system chlorination works, water sampling, cooling tower services and treatment, boiler water treatment, heating and chilled system services and treatment, dosing and control equipment and energy saving water treatment equipment and advice.

They are now looking for a water hygiene engineer in the London region to work on contracts in the area.

Key responsibilities of the position will include conducting risk assessments to ACOP L8 standards, cold water storage tank cleaning, disinfection and lining, cleaning and disinfecting shower heads. Additional duties will include carrying out sampling and temperature monitoring of water systems, drawing of water systems schematics and the preparation and completion of job sheets.

With relevant plumbing qualifications the ideal candidate will have knowledge of current water regulations. With an ability to work with minimal supervision, the successful candidate will be capable of carrying physical work such as roof spaces and tanks. A full and clean UK driver`s license is essential.

The role will involve:
-Undertaking monitoring and maintenance of building water services as part of a Legionella Control Program in accordance with ACoP L8
-Monitoring inspections will involve temperature testing of water outlets, TMVs, inspection of cold water storage tanks and hot water storage vessels, water sample collection and shower head disinfection
-Servicing of TMVs water softeners, water conditions, pressure vessels, CWST disinfections and HWSV de-scaling
-Working in a multi-site capacity
-Undertaking inspections using a PDA and web based electronic log book system

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:
-Demonstrative previous experience in a similar role
-Previous experience in related water system remediation/maintenance works
-Working knowledge of the respective legislation and guidance material
-Ability to achieve CRB clearance
