My client is the largest steel reinforcement manufacturer in the UK and is now looking to recruit a multi-skilled maintenance engineer for a job in their Lichfield plant.
The ideal candidate will have undertaken a mechanical engineering apprenticeship but also hold a 17th Edition and be electrical biased. A steel/manufacturing background and work with hydraulics and pneumatics is preferable as is supervisory experience. This is a static role and will require the candidate to oversee all PPM schedules as well as ensuring quality and health and safety are maintained.

* Equipment Kaizen for optimal performance.
* Set-up of TPM system.
Qualifications & Skills
* HNC / HND in Engineering/ Manufacturing or equivalent qualification and work experience.
* Technical knowledge in electrical and PLC programming.
* Engineering experience in a fast moving manufacturing environment preferably automotive.

We are seeking an enthusiastic geotechnical engineer for an established multidisciplinary consultancy in Staffordshire. We are looking for a candidate with a background in geotechnical site investigation and an interest in contaminated land issues.
The role requires a sound understanding of Brownfield redevelopment issues and a knowledge of site investigations including soil, gas/groundwater monitoring.
Candidates should be familiar with in-situ testing methods and have a knowledge of British standards and Eurocodes.
Candidates must have an excellent academic background with degree qualifications in an engineering or geoscience discipline, ideally with MSc in Geotechnical Engineering.
A knowledge of industry software is essential along with excellent written and oral communication skills.
A full UK driving licence is essential as regular travel is expected.

Experience of control system implementation on DCS/PLC platforms such as Schneider, Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Siemens APACS, PCS7, S7, ABB or equivalent systems and hardware engineering skills, particularly plant interface engineering will prove distinctly advantageous, as will an appreciation of safety related systems to IEC61508/61511.
You will interpret, design, develop and commission new plant modulating control schemes as well as implementing improvements to existing schemes, interfacing with hardware engineers and performing on-site commissioning of plant interfaces and control devices whilst working within a multi-disciplinary project team to demanding customer timescales.
To be considered for these exciting and progressive roles, you will hold a Control and Instrumentation engineering qualification (degree or equivalent) or comparable industrial experience and demonstrate proven control system design experience gained within the Control & Automation industries, ideally within the power generation environment. With a good understanding of power and/or other relevant industrial processes, you will possess experience in the design and implementation of closed loop, PID based control strategies and of control scheme performance optimisation and tuning, with software design experience based on the IEC61131-3 concepts utilising generic re-usable code.

Senior Electrical Engineer
Successful and growing contractor has a requirement for a Senior Electrical Engineer. Based in Stoke - on trent, this busy contractor defied the recession to produce year on year growth and there is a model in place to continue sustained growth for the foreseeable future.
