Senior Systems Engineer - Reading - To �50ph An Engineer with a strong background in design, development and fielding of Navigation & Communication capabilities is required to join our clients Engineering department. Responsible to the Engineering Group Manager, you will become part of a team developing ISTAR products. Familiarity with the application of System Engineering within the Development Life and use of modern SE Case Tools is essential. As an Assistant Product Manager your duties will include:
• Having an understanding of complete portfolio that the business offers and will be required to present this internally and potentially externally.
• Product Targets - Business performance
• Understanding the market opportunities for the product and services you manage, helping the business maximise the opportunity for volume and return.
• Helping facilitating and supporting sales for your product area. Help with training and demo needs for your line of products.
• Monitoring and reporting on performance at a product level.
• Analysing under and over performance and participate in corrective action where underperformance exists across the business.

An ideal Assistant Product Manager will hold the following skills and experiences:
• Ideally Bachelors degree in business, marketing, engineering, science; or other relevant qualifications.
• Previous marketing/product development and or relevant experience preferred.
• Technology savvy and knowledgeable.
• Ability to create strong working relationships, with customers, partners. Be a team player - listening to inputs and guidance from across the business.
• Previous Product Manager experience would be preferred.
• Have a strong blend of commercial acumen and technology understanding.
• Be a self starter, passionate about their job and driven to deliver results - high energy and commitment to succeed are critical.
• Be attracted by the diverse nature of the role and thrive on variety and the opportunity to be involved in many aspects of the product.
• Analytical and interpretation skills essential.
• Assertive to ensure agreed timelines and deadlines are met supported with proven project management capability - Strong planning abilities and capability to drive delivery to an agreed plan, reporting progress and risks / issues as required.
In return you will receive a salary of £35,000 per annum plus bonus and benefits.
