In order to strengthen their Nottingham team, our client have an opportunity for a Pavement Engineering Technician to join their busy team.
Our client are a large market leading consultancy who offer a variety of engineering services to a diverse range of clients. In order to continue their success, they are looking to recruit an experienced candidate to be the leading technician within their CAD and ground modelling team.
With experience of ground modelling and CAD on infrastructure projects, the successful candidate will also have a background in pavement design and be expected to undertake the production of 3D models and drawings for a variety of pavement schemes, predominantly for highways and airport projects.
You will lead the design for the production of drawings for major infrastructure schemes and ideally have experience of software such as Inroads, Civils 3D, Microstation and AutoCad.
Reporting into Senior Engineers and Associates, this office leads the way within our clients pavement engineering work on projects such as airside pavements, taxiways, runways and aprons as well as major ports, industrial complex and highway schemes, so the ability to undertake work to the highest level is required.

Flood Risk Consultant/Senior Civil Engineer- Nottingham- Permanent- £35,000- £40,000k + Benefits
My client, an international environmental engineering consultancy are looking for a civil engineer who specialises in flood risk or large drainage schemes to join their team in Nottingham.
You will work on a variety of development and infrastructure projects for a wide variety of public and private clients. The work comprises a broad range of civil engineering services, water, drainage, earthworks, utilities and flood risk assessment/hydraulic engineering.
The ideal candidate will be working towards or have obtained Chartered Status with a number of years experience (anticipated 3 - 4 minimum) in Civil Engineering, particularly in report writing and preparation of flood risk assessments and drainage design.
Requirements:
- 4-10 years experience in civil engineering/flood risk/drainage design
- Demonstrable experience in report writing, including the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments and drainage design
- Undertake project work on own initiative
- Confidence in dealing with clients
- Experience in use of AutoCAD, Micro Drainage and PDS modelling
- Experience in either ISIS or HECRAS modelling and FEH would be an advantage
-Chartered Status preferable
