Gas Service Engineer (commercial and domestic)
Up to 30,000 per annum plus call out & overtime
Paid door to door, company van, fuel card, mobile phone, company credit card, PDA, Ipad & uniform,
Based in the Midlands but will be required to cover nationally

Our client is a leading provider of mechanical and electrical building services to a variety of clients.

Due to new and existing contract they are now actively seeking a multi skilled gas service engineer to work on a variety of contracts which include:- Logisitics - Distribution Centres & Warehouses, Hospital Groups, Schools, Colleges, Universities and Commercial offices.

The successful must have full commercial and domestic ACS qualifications.

Good customer service skills are imperative due to the wide variety of customers you will be servicing.

Role will require some staying away which will be fully covered by the company and credit card supplied for expenses

Good all round knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems are essential, as it is expected that the gas engineer will be part of the maintenance team, and prepared to assist wherever necessary.

Basic up to 30k door to door, plenty of overtime,
1 in 5 call out - ?75 per week call out allowance - Minimum 3 hours when called out paid at Double time

You’ll manage all aspects of international projects and procurement related to customer requirements and maintain effective working relationships with their purchasing and engineering teams. You will help co-ordinate all aspects of ongoing business for market leading carmakers and ensure procurement remains cost effective and competitive, whilst maintaining service levels to meet the demanding targets.

Graduate level educated, probably Mechanical Engineering, with a number of years of successful project management, ideally with a Tier 1 automotive component supplier. You must have an excellent track record of managing projects from concept to production, tenacious drive for customer service and a persuasive style. A record of cost effective procurement management and annual price reduction is essential, together with excellent negotiating skills and selling price evaluation. Technically competent, with a good working knowledge of TS16949, APQP and MS Project, you’ll be an enthusiastic team player, a clear thinker and able to consistently meet deadlines. You must be at ease with some international travel.

My client is looking for a electrical project manager to join their small works team. Jobs will range from 10k-250k on a variety of commercial projects.

CORE RESPONSIBLITIES

1. Ensure all works on a given contract are carried out in accordance with the agreed specification/drawings and to all correct appropriate engineering standards and good working practices.

2. Undertake the cost-effective procurement of both materials and subcontractors in accordance with all relevant Company procedures.

3. Deal with day to day queries, costing and quotations to comply with department requirements.

4. Ensure all design work is commercially viable both in terms of the proposed solution and the cost/timescale to produce the design when compared to the estimate.

5. Ensure there is cost effective allocation / resourcing of labour requirements to suit the requirements of the contract programme and the tender costs.

6. Prepare Valuations/final accounts and issue in accordance with the contract/timely manner and ensure payments are duly received inline with the contact.

7. Certify Subcontract payments as and when required, having ascertained claims are valid.

8. Ensure full compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policy and all current legislation.

This role is to start asap on a freelance basis with a view to possibly moving onto a permanent role.
