A leading engineering firm in rural Hampshire specialising in the design and manufacture of educational and demonstration models for the teaching of engineering principles requires a Development Engineer to develop new products and ranges. The business is capitalising upon recent success and the Development Engineer will build-up the product range and report to the Technical Director.
The role will require a working and/or theoretical knowledge of thermodynamics and a familiarisation of CAD software in order to generate 2D and 3D engineering drawings, organising these drawings, parts lists and all files associated with the project. The role will also drive the development and improvement of existing products and time management will be employed effectively to manage this alongside new product development. Parts lists, manuals and documentation will be produced and the role will naturally require the testing of products.
The successful candidate will be innovative, an original thinker and have a natural ingenuity. They will naturally be a strong team player although they will be expected to work from their own initiative. The candidate will report to, and be given instruction by, the Technical Director, however they will be able to work with minimal management. The candidate will be capable of carrying out standard engineering workshop practices including the operation of standard equipment and fault-finding. My client is a major global engineering consultancy, they currently have an opportunity for a Examining Engineer to undertake and offer comprehensive examination reports on a number of rail related structures. The consultancy has an excellent reputation for its delivery; they have secured a large workload and operate alongside an interesting and varied client base.
For this position my client is seeking a Engineer who has extensive experience in carrying out rail related examinations across a number of frameworks. Your primary responsibilities will be to undertake the reviewing of examination reports whilst working towards Network Rail STE2 competence qualification, work as a member of a central CEFA Reviewing Engineer and to undertake tunnel examinations working towards Network Rail STE6 Competence qualification. Further, you will support the CEFA Technical Director and Territory Examining Engineers.
You will be degree qualified or HNC/HND or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering whilst being Chartered or Incorporated Engineer or working towards chartered status. Further, you will have a minimum of fie years experience of industry experience in structural examinations, maintenance or assessment. Additionally you will have experience with writing detailed structural reviews and will have experience of working within a rail infrastructure environment.

Experienced Fridge Engineers are required to join our client's teams in Spalding and Haydock.
As Fridge Engineer you will be carrying out regular scheduled Inspections, Servicing and Repairs to fridges fitted to Trailers and to LGVs both in their workshop and on customer premises.
The successful Fridge Engineer candidates must have previous experience of working on mobile commercial refrigeration units. Ideally you will also possess a recognised industry standard qualification and be licensed to handle refrigerants.
