Trainee Graduate Engineer (Aerospace, Production, MRP, ERP) BLUT7246
Hayes, Middlesex
Salary – up to £25,000 plus benefits
Our client specialises in the maintenance and repair of landing gear and related components for major airlines. They have their own Aircraft on Ground (AOG) team on call ready to assist customers on-site and ensure no aircraft has to stand idle for longer than necessary.
They now have an exciting opportunity within their Technical Engineering department for a Graduate Technical Support Engineer to join the team.
Under supervision and guidance, the Graduate Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for the provision of technical engineering specialist expertise, advice and support for the production facility and our client’s customers.
You will be given the opportunity take the lead in the development of the new production processes and new product introduction projects required to maintain the company’s competitive position and provide configuration support to the production process. Supporting the repair and overhaul of Aircraft components in accordance with company procedures and in compliance with applicable airworthiness regulations, you will provide guided assistance in support of operations and will also provide customer gear configuration support to the production process.
Assisting the team in the development of new processes and new viable capability for the company, you will be provided with supervision to ensure the provision of the correct tools, equipment, training and spares to support new capability intake as requested. You will also contribute to the investigation of hazardous occurrences, review Component Overhaul Manuals, Approved Technical Publications (ATP’s) and other OEM technical documentation and must facilitate the creation and amendment of production control route sheets on the company control system (Telnet).
The successful candidate will be technically minded and ideally have experience of working in Aerospace Landing Gear MRO, with knowledge of engineering processes. The successful completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship (subjects to have ideally included metallurgy and plating systems) coupled with experience of working with production control packages (MRP/ERP etc.) is essential.
In addition, you must have completed a HNC in a related engineering discipline (or be currently studying towards this), have excellent organisational, time management and communication skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines within a team and have a flexible working approach.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Service and Installation Engineer based in Isleworth, London to join the leading Door Entry and Gate Automation Specialists based in West London covering London and all surrounding counties.
This field based role will be a demanding role, working under pressure and to strict deadlines. You will have the responsibility of installing new door entry systems or undertaking the maintenance of existing systems, working individually or in a team as required. A responsible approach and professionalism is required at all times and customer requirements and expectations are maintained to high standards.
As a Service and Installation Engineer your duties will include:
• Dealing with the day to day maintenance of existing door entry systems (all makes).
• Completing new installation of door entry systems.
• Completing detailed and accurate reports onsite of required work/ completed work.
• Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.
• To attend team meetings/briefings/ training as required, ensuring all data/information in respect of ongoing jobs/quotes are up to date and available for discussion.
An ideal Service and Installation Engineer will hold the following skills and experiences:
• Must have previous electronic and door entry systems experience.
• Valid UK Driving License.
• Knowledge of CCTV, access control or gate automation systems would be beneficial.
• Fluent English spoken and written is a must.
• A strong 'can do’ positive attitude is essential.
• Be punctual.
• Act professionally and courteously with all fellow engineers and customers they meet.
• Act responsibly and with necessary care for himself, the property of others and his team- enjoy
• Enjoy physical work- be of good health.
• Enjoy developing new technical skills and learning to use new equipment.
• Be flexible.
• Must be good team worker.
This role will be working long hours / days until 7-8pm or out of hours work may often be required. You must be available for on call work (one week every 2-3 months). The working hours of this role will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 5:00pm. Occasional overtime and Saturdays will be available.
After a probation period you will receive a salary of £20,000 - £23,000 per annum, depending on your experience. You will also be provided with a company vehicle (business use only), fuel card, mobile phone (business use only), iPad (business use only), uniform, Health and Safety training, in-house training on company products and 28 days paid holiday.
