Candidates should demonstrate their skills and experience in designing and delivering both hard and soft landscape for architectural and urban design projects.

Successful candidates should be "self-starters", able to work as part of an effective team and meet deadlines. They will be numerate and commercially aware. An excellent command of the English language is important.

Our clients are an independent firm of designers, planners, engineers, consultants and technical specialists offering a broad range of professional services. They have a diverse workload of high profile international and UK projects ranging from environmental infrastructure design and major transportation projects through to restoration, town centre regeneration, streetscape design and green roofs. Due to expansion of their services they are seeking a Senior Landscape Architect to be based in their London Office.

The role includes: reporting on a day-to-day basis to the Associate Landscape Architect and working with others in the team or multi-disciplinary project teams, as required; being responsible to the Environment Director for technical and business performance; responsibility for mentoring junior staff and assisting with business development; liaising with others in the environmental team as well as with other Environmental Specialists in other company offices and actively participating in networking.

The successful candidate will: be a Chartered Landscape Architect with a range of experience on landscape assessment, design, strategy and implementation schemes: have extensive post Chartered experience and expertise that fuses strong design skills with preparation and delivery of LVIA's; have experience of urban design and transport related projects and experience of undertaking EIA and landscape assessment; be able to work as part of multi-disciplinary teams providing specialist input at all stages on a wide variety of projects.

The ideal applicant: will be able to work in a team in a multi-disciplinary environment; have good CAD and Adobe design package skills; have a good freehand drawing style; confidence in delivering landscape led design solutions; good report writing skills; will be able to manage their time effectively, juggling the demands and delivering high quality projects on time and to budget. Experience of working on infrastructure projects and for a consultancy will be an advantage.
