Due to growth in the UK market the Project Engineer will take ownership of NPI (New Product Introduction) from start to finish. This stock listed company actively supports the training and development of staff who wish to advance their career. As a Project Engineer your duties will include:

• Being responsible for NPD (New product development) projects.
• Working with automotive clients you will review plastic injection mould tool design.
• Liaising with global toolmakers to track progress and manage the production of the plastic moulds. Using your tool making and/or injection mould knowledge you will technically support each project through the project milestones.
• Reporting to the Operations Director you control cost saving, quality issues and product sign off.

An ideal Project Engineer will hold the following skills and experiences:

• Ideally you will have an engineering background in the plastic moulding sector.
• Experience in tool making, tooling design, plastic injection moulding and aspire to take the next step into Project Engineering.
• Working knowledge of APQP and NPI processes.
• There will be a requirement to travel overseas, approx 4 trips per year for periods up to 1 or 2 weeks.
• Qualification: Time serviced/HNC/Degree

The working hours of this role are Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm.

In return you will receive a salary of £29,000 - £32,950 Basic per annum plus a Pension - up to 6% contribution, Holidays 24 days and Bank Holiday.

KEY OBJECTIVES - DESIGN ENGINEER

Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will manage new contracts from assessing and validating customer requirements through the design stages to the point of issuing design drawings, bill of materials and detailed drawings where required. You will also support the procurement function with supplier selection and technical inquiries. Once the project reaches the production stage you will support the manufacturing departments to ensure a smooth and effective completion of the build.

For new product design and ongoing product improvement you will be contributing towards the design activities as part of cross functional design teams in order to continually upgrade and improve the range of standard product designs.

Responsibilities include:

- Project assessment and review of customer requirements including technical support for sales
- Project design to ensure customer requirements are converted into effective design solutions
- Creation of bill of material records including standard and non standard parts
- Supporting procurement activities with technical input
- Supporting manufacturing activities throughout the build and completion process
- Provide input to and contribute to standard product and parts design programme

The role will require day-to-day liaison with internal and external contacts including sales, planning, procurement, manufacturing together with customers and suppliers.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - DESIGN ENGINEER

This role is ideally suited to an organised, proactive and self-motivated individual with a systematic approach to engineering design and documentation. Suitable candidates will have:

- Mechanical or Production Engineering Background to minimum HNC level
- Broad design and draughting experience, mechanical engineering including 3D CAD
- Knowledge of and interest in lean manufacturing and value engineering
- Experience of and ability to work to tight project deadlines
- Comfortable with full range of PC office software applications
- 3D CAD experience using SolidWorks
- Coach building, chassis or commercial vehicle bodywork design experience

You will also have good communication skills and the ability to liaise on technical issues with both internal and external contacts.

The Senior Embedded C++ Software Engineer will handle all software aspects of the design, development, and continuous improvement of state of the art professional digital audio systems for the live performance arena. THE REQUIREMENTS:

To be considered for this Senior Embedded Software Engineer (C++) role, you will be an experienced embedded C++ software engineer with proven experience in the development of embedded software, ideally but not essentially for the professional audio / music industry. It is essential that you can demonstrate strong experience in object orientated design, design patterns and the implementation of large scale software projects.

You will have solid knowledge of real time programming and multithreading with good knowledge of operative system concepts, components and architectures (preferably Linux).

In addition to embedded C++ developer skills, any experience of the following would also be an advantage: Linux or Embedded Linux; Low-level Ethernet programming - TCP/IP, UDP, Multicast, IGMP, VoIP, Ethernet switch control, low-level hardware programming - control and interface to FPGAs, CPLDs etc, Linux Kernel drivers, PCM digital audio using SHARC-based DSP, GUI and graphical design, OpenGL, DirectFB or DirectX7, USB or graphics drivers, Agile methodologies.

Knowledge of professional Audio Software/Hardware would also help but is not essential. A passion for music and audio would also be a bonus. DSP Engineer and GUI Development roles are also available.
