URGENT REQUIREMENT: Nightshift Electrician/ Maintenance Engineer - Wigan- Permanent- £32,000-£35,000k + OVERTIME AVAILABLE

My client, established in the food industry, are looking for a nightshift electrician/multiskilled maintenance engineer to work on their industrial manufacturing site. You will provide break down maintenance to a wide range of machinery such as motors, elevators, mixers, boilers, conveyors, compressors, cookers and laminators. You will carry out fault finding, diagnosis and repair for mechanical and electrical faults on a wide range of machinery. YOU MUST BE 17TH EDITION QUALIFIED.

Working hours will be 4 days a week, Tuesday-Friday from 6pm to 6am.

Requirements:

- 3+ years electrical maintenance experience in industrial or manufacturing sites

- MUST BE 17th edition qualified

- HNC/ONC in Mechanical Engineering or similar

- Experience of working in the food industry would be highly advantageous

- Fault finding and repair on PLCs advantageous

The Role……

* Be fully conversant with all equipment, tools and measuring instruments associated with the manufacturing cycle
* Ensure manufacturing build, inspection and where relevant, test times are met

* Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process

• Knowledge of Single or three phase power, Control systems, pneumatic circuits, sheet metal assemblies and machined components. Experience of the air-conditioning and refrigeration industries would also be desirable.

Test of complex electronic equipment, and diagnosis of production test failures down to component level. Identification of corrective action, in a timely manner allowing Manufacturing to continue production in line with programme.
Technical support to Test Operators to facilitate the efficient throughput of Prime hardware during production. Assessment of related Test Equipment issues, directing support services to resolve equipment failures.
Evaluation of Technical problems in order to develop proposals for investigations and corrective actions, including process improvements.
Test Engineering representative at Defect Review Board meetings to ensure efficient progress of equipment and quality notifications towards corrective action.

Skills & Experience:

HNC/HND (Electronics) Level of Qualifications or equivalent, plus substantial level of experience in Digital and Analogue Electronics Manufacture and Test.
A good understand of measurement and test principles, and equipment.
A good understanding of RF and Microwave technology at subsystem level would be an advantage.

Our client has 50 years trading in pumps and over 35 years experience in the area of Private Water Supplies. They have the expertise to help specify, supply, install or service PWS water treatment equipment. By working closely with clients they supply a range of high quality Ultra Violet units, media filter units to remove or reduce iron, manganese, aluminium, suspended solid, colour, odour and pH correction, cartridge filters, borehole pumps, booster pumps, tanks, water softeners, reverse osmosis (RO) units, pipework and fittings. Their engineering background means they tend to approach problems differently from most water treatment and pump distribution companies in that they look to supply the best product from an engineering point of view.

Due to their recent success, they require an experienced, multi-skilled Water Service Engineer to cover the Lancashire area.

Dealing with Private Water Supplies, the job entails installing, repairing & servicing a range of equipment and as such good mechanical, electrical and plumbing skills will be required. Ideally electrically qualified, or at least competent, the candidate will have worked in a similar role and be able to demonstrate good on site problem solving and work ethics.

Experience in any relevant aspect would be an advantage but the all-round ability to continue the company's growth is more important as full training for the right candidate would be provided.
