URGENT REQUIREMENT: Nightshift Electrician/ Maintenance Engineer - Wigan- Permanent- £32,000-£35,000k + OVERTIME AVAILABLE
My client, established in the food industry, are looking for a nightshift electrician/multiskilled maintenance engineer to work on their industrial manufacturing site. You will provide break down maintenance to a wide range of machinery such as motors, elevators, mixers, boilers, conveyors, compressors, cookers and laminators. You will carry out fault finding, diagnosis and repair for mechanical and electrical faults on a wide range of machinery. YOU MUST BE 17TH EDITION QUALIFIED.
Working hours will be 4 days a week, Tuesday-Friday from 6pm to 6am.
Requirements:
- 3+ years electrical maintenance experience in industrial or manufacturing sites
- MUST BE 17th edition qualified
- HNC/ONC in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Experience of working in the food industry would be highly advantageous
- Fault finding and repair on PLCs advantageous

The Role……

* Possess experience in electrical wiring and assembly.
* Demonstrated ability / willingness to certify own work in line with company quality standards.

• Knowledge of Single or three phase power, Control systems, pneumatic circuits, sheet metal assemblies and machined components. Experience of the air-conditioning and refrigeration industries would also be desirable.

Evaluation of Technical problems in order to develop proposals for investigations and corrective actions, including process improvements.
Test Engineering representative at Defect Review Board meetings to ensure efficient progress of equipment and quality notifications towards corrective action.
Skills & Experience:
HNC/HND (Electronics) Level of Qualifications or equivalent, plus substantial level of experience in Digital and Analogue Electronics Manufacture and Test.
A good understand of measurement and test principles, and equipment.
A good understanding of RF and Microwave technology at subsystem level would be an advantage.

Candidate Profile:
- Qualified Heating/Combustion Engineer with Commercial ACS

Ideally electrically qualified, or at least competent, the candidate will have worked in a similar role and be able to demonstrate good on site problem solving and work ethics.
