Your primary responsibilities will be to prepare lighting calculations, lighting scheme proposals and to create new lighting product designs. • Work on new projects from a given specification and / or product improvements to agreed timescales.
• To generate detailed general assembly drawings and Bill of Materials ensuring they are to the agreed standards and within specification.
• Generate comprehensive component specifications and designs
• To reduce product costs by redesigning existing designs, including designing new components and / or assembly processes.
• Assist production engineering when requested.
• To collaborate fully with production engineering on new product launch

To be considered for this role the successful candidate will have;
• A strong mechanical design background
• A good working knowledge of Autocad-lite and SolidWorks
• Qualified to HND or degree level in Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge of pressure vessels, pipe work assemblies, pneumatic circuits, sheet metal assemblies and machined components. Experience of the air-conditioning and refrigeration industries would also be desirable.
