Test Development Engineer, Flintshire, Deeside, £35,000 - £40,000

A hugely successful business based in Deeside, Flintshire, who are involved in the design and development of complex all-electric actuation systems, and motor control design for primary and secondary systems are looking to recruit an embedded software engineer to the team. The business are hugely successful and part of a larger group of companies offering stability and reassurance combined with good budgets for engineering. The business has extensive experience that extend across civil aerospace and defence markets, including UAVs, and we continue to offer bespoke and customized solutions on some of the most prestigious programmes in Europe today.
The business are expanding rapidly due to a lot of new projects being won and as a result they need to really bolster the engineering team and bring some experienced engineers on board.
He or She will be expected to work within a team where new programmes, concepts, innovations and techniques, are reviewed collectively to ensure a consistent design approach. The candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, capable of working independently when required.
Reporting to the test development team leader and working closely with software, mechanical and hardware engineers, he / she will be involved in and will be expected to have experience of the test development lifecycle, specifically :-
• Test suit Design
• Test equipment operation
• Test equipment introduction and evolution
• Test automation
• Test suit verification
• Handover to production test
• Configuration control
He/she will be familiar with a requirement driven process. Experience in the following areas would be an advantage:-.
• National Instruments LabVIEW
• National Instruments equipment
• Analogue electronics testing techniques
• Digital electronics testing techniques
• System level testing
• Data logging
• Interface testing
• I2C, SPI, ARINC, 422, and bespoke serial interfaces
• Motor drives
