As a Project Engineer you are responsible for undertaking engineering design, calculation and preparation of descriptive drawings for standard and systems products.
Utilising your engineering and design knowledge you will also carry out specialist projects with regard to customer specific / unusual requirements.
You will manage projects for the supply of vacuum pumps and systems and prepare and/or amend bills of materials for standard and project-based products.
Prepare engineering design and descriptive drawings using 2D AutoCAD and 3D Solidworks packages, technical data or performance charts for standard and systems products.
You will need a Degree in mechanical or similar engineering discipline and experience of 3D CAD, (Ideally Solidworks, but not essential).
There are 2 permanent positions available.
Good project management skills and experience of mechanical, metal, rotational equipment (experience of cast materials is highly desirable).

The role will be working for a leading chemical company in the area and will be working on Electrical Design for chemical plants. The position requires an experienced Electrical Design Engineer who can start immediately.

The Role
The QA Weld Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of the quality management system and participation in manufacturing process and system improvements. You will also be supporting the quality activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Investigating instances of product and process failure and conduct effect root cause analysis.
· Conducting continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system and improve product quality.
· Developing and delivering training to build quality awareness within the manufacturing teams.
· Interfacing with Engineering and Operations to ensure the transfer to production of new products is in accordance with the desired specifications.
· Conducting internal quality management system audits.
· Supporting the Supplier Development Engineer with the management of the supply chain.
· Compiling monthly QA reports and KPI’s.
· Reviewing new orders for welding requirements.
· Maintaining Excel spreadhseets for supplier rejection, corrective action reporting and customer returns data.
The Candidate
In order to be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with a passion and responsibility for the customer. You will also need to be willing to travel to customers and suppliers as and when required.
Successful candidates should have:
· Minimum ONC In Engineering
· 5 Years prior experience in Quality Assurance in an engineered product manufacturer.
· CSWIP - Visual Welding Inspecor Level 1 - minimum requirement.
· Experience in quality management systems and quality system audits.
· Experience in using a range of measuring and inspection equipment
· Experience of welding and NDE techniques.

The Development Manager is a first line management position and will be responsible for the planning, direction and coordination of the Development / Engineering activities. The role includes managing the engineering design, product development and application engineering teams in an efficient manner, and in accordance with the company’s objectives.
The Development Manager is also expected to be the driving force in the development of the Company engineering strategy and a contributor to the overall company business planning. The Manager must maintain knowledge about the strategy, products and aims of the Company. The role-holder will take a highly visible leadership role in ensuring that the standard of internal and external customer service provided is exemplary. The post holder may be called upon to manage any part of the operation and at times, they may be the most senior manager available in the Company.
Main Tasks
Develop and implement clear Company Development / Engineering strategy in line with the business plan. Monitor actions and performance against the set targets and ensure the necessary corrective action.
Take responsibility for performance, conduct, welfare and discipline issues in line with company procedures. Providing clear direction on what is required of the team, encouraging staff to contribute ideas and suggestions, taking action where possible and providing feedback on issues raised.
Develop, maintain and implement comprehensive standard operating procedures for the Development Department in line with Company QA system, ensuring they are constantly reviewed and updated to reflect the needs of the team and the principles of continuous improvement and to ensure the highest standards of customer service are always achieved and are consistent. Undertake training sessions as required, and in conjunction with, other Managers.
Assess and arrange training, coaching and guidance provided to the engineering team through a combination of structured training, on-the-job training, and personal example and coaching.
