Lecturer in Engineering (Electronics)
Salary £24241 pa to £29787 pa
Our client has a vacancy in Engineering for a Lecturer with the responsibilities and duties associated with the role.
The person appointed needs to be both passionate and enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge with our current and future engineering students but also keen to want to make a difference.
We are looking for the successful candidate to be experienced in teaching with excellent, current subject knowledge related to the engineering sector, specifically with knowledge in areas such as electronics and related maths, PLC’s, electronic fault finding, analogue & digital circuit design and test .
Experience in teaching students of school age (14-16), having the ability to cater for students who are in need of support with learning and social needs would be an advantage.

Key Duties:
Duties will include, but not be limited to:-
• formal scheduled teaching
• tutorials and student assessment

• management and supervision of student visit programmes as appropriate

Experience/Qualifications
• Minimum of level 3 qualification in Engineering
• Teacher training qualifications Certificate in Education/DTLLS, A units, V units or willing to gain within two years of appointment
• Be proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications e.g. Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and other bespoke packages. Have the ability to set up various monitoring reports using IT applications.
• Recent industrial experience in a machining environment using latest technologies with an understanding of the skills required for more traditional machining methods.
• Have experience of working and a positive, flexible manner.
• Have a good recent experience of contributing towards positive change in your environment
• Have experience of openly exchanging information and supporting colleagues
• Have an understanding and be able to demonstrate a commitment to Safeguarding
• Have an understanding and be able to demonstrate a commitment to Equal Opportunities and Diversity
Hours: 37 hours per week.

Position: Economist
Location: London, Westminster
Salary: £25,000-£32,000 per annum
Hours: 35 hrs Level 3
ROLE:
Primarily, to support the delivery of the existing suite of high profile RICS surveys of the built environment while also providing capacity to meet requests for similar products from around the globe. In addition, this position will enable the Economics team to continue to assist world regions to build both profile and influence in order to gain recognition for RICS and property standards.The position will report directly into the Chief Economist.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Produce the results for RICS suite of high profile property market surveys both in the UK and overseas.
b) Write reports to complement the survey outputs interpreting the relevance and potential impact of the key indicators that are monitored.
c) Deliver high quality research that helps to support both brand development and engagement as part of the broader recognition agenda.
d) Support the expansion of the suite of non-UK property markets surveys.
e) Assist UK External Affairs team by providing key macro analysis into policy development.
f) Initially the main working relationships for this role will be within the Economics team.
g) Beyond that, the postholder will be expected to build relations with other teams within Corporate Affairs, in particular External Affairs, Research and Digital.
h) The Economist should also in due course establish relationships with the UK External Affairs team at HQ, public relations coordinators around the UK and policy and public relations staff in world regions.
i) Increase the media profile of RICS across the globe by delivering high quality research.
j) Enhance the impact of the existing global surveys by demonstrating the relevance of key indicators to specific markets.
k) Contribute to building response rates to surveys in priority RICS markets.
l) Strengthen the contribution of the Economics team to UK policy development by applying economic skills to specific problems and delivering relevant outcomes.
m) Maintain the quality of the UK product suite by providing additional support to deliver outputs in a timely fashion.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) A minimum of a first degree in Economics and ideally a higher qualification.
b) An interest in both macroeconomics and real estate.
c) Good knowledge of excel with an ability to work with complex spreadsheets.
d) An ability to write to a high standard with the confidence to present ideas in a public forum.
e) Numerate with an interest in quantitative analysis.
f) Strong interpersonal skills.
