Our Client currently has a vacancy in Bristol for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant/ Acoustic Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

The Assistant / Acoustics Engineer will be working on a variety of projects ranging from environmental statement chapters for urban extensions to large mixed use developments. The role will work across the nationwide group to share resources and work within the wider team.

Key responsibilities / duties include:

Delivery of technical reports and EIA chapters
Collection and Interpretation of Acoustic data
Liaising and corresponding with external bodies
Resolve technical queries.
Capabilities and Qualifications
We are looking to recruit a positive and enthusiastic team player who ideally has a Degree or equivalent qualification in Acoustics. The candidate should be a full member of the Institute of Acoustics.

The ideal candidates must:

Have 5 years' experience in Acoustics
Experience in the design and execution of environmental noise and vibration surveys and assessments
Be able to undertake calculations for Acoustics projects
Be able to demonstrate experience in the use of noise modelling software
Be self-motivated, with the ability to work on own initiative;
Have excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Be computer literate in MS Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
