Our client has growth plans to be the leading Total Environmental Solutions supplier within the UK. As a result of their continued success, they have formed strategic partnerships with leading suppliers to provide a "one-stop shop" approach combining dedicated project management and consultancy.
Due to expansion they are now recruiting for a Water Treatment Engineer to join their South East Team.
The key duties of the Engineer position will include servicing both industrial and commercial industry accounts. Responsibilities will include conducting closed circuit and cooling tower site visits in conjunction with carrying out general hygiene works. Additional duties will include conducting temperature testing, cleaning and chlorinations on water systems in accordance to the approved code of practice, water quality checks and chemical analysis.
Ideal candidates for this position will have several years experience within the water treatment industry and will have knowledge of conducting closed circuit and cooling tower site visits. It would be advantageous for candidates to have some softener experience.
Ideally candidates will company from either an Engineering or Plumbing Background.

A Commissioning Engineer is required to support this engineering company. Due to
winning a number of substantial orders with global engineering companies, this
established manufacturer of large special purpose machinery has experienced a rapid
increase in workload. With new projects to be undertaken in the coming months and to
complete these projects, there is an immediate requirement for a Commissioning Engineer on a
permanent basis.
The Commissioning Engineer role will involve:
- Writing the software and code in Siemens S7
- Will install the software, test, debug and commission before it leaves the factory
- On occasion will be required to travel overseas to complete the installation and commissioning process
- May need to spend 2-3 weeks abroad at a client's site
- High level of documentation will be client facing
- Standard 39 hours a week, all extra hours are paid at overtime
- Accommodation, travel, food will be paid whilst overseas
The Commissioning Engineer should have the following skills:
- A practical engineering qualification
- Recent experience in writing and commissioning Siemens PLC"s
- Knowledge of writing and commissioning software for special purpose machinery
- Happy to travel worldwide for 2-3 weeks at any one time
- Ability and desire to learn
- Hard working, diligent individual with excellent communication skills
- Outgoing, drive, determination, confident, desire to progress either technically or into man management
