Job Information
We are seeking a Principal Solutions Architect - ISTAR systems to provide technical leadership of the growing ISTAR
domain of the RSL engineering organisation.
The key objective of the Principal Solutions Architect - ISTAR systems is to develop the architecture and solution
approach for RSL to deliver innovative ISTAR capabilities to various customers in the Defence and Intelligence markets.

This will be achieved by capturing, refining and ultimately influencing customers' requirements through a combination of
work with;

* Customers
* Industry leading bodies
* Raytheon's strategic partners
* Reach back to subject matter experts within the wider Raytheon organisation.

From understanding the requirements, an architecture, approach and capability roadmap shall be produced and maintained
that uniquely positions Raytheon to successfully serve this market in terms of value, timeliness and class leading
capability.

It is anticipated that the Principal Solutions Architect - ISTAR systems will be responsible for the solution throughout
its life cycle, providing direction and technical governance from inception through in-life service.

Education and Experience Summary
Essential
* Degree in Scientific or Engineering discipline
* Experience of leading engineering teams to achieve demanding challenges
* Holder of current SC security clearance
* Experience of significant proposals
* Willing and able to obtain the highest levels of UK security clearance
Desirable
* Holder of current DV security clearance
Demonstrable Experience and Knowledge
Experiences in the following areas are required:
* Proven experience in Systems Engineering with full lifecycle coverage
* Ability to shape customer thinking at all levels of command and control
* Knowledge and ability to work with Common Architectural Frameworks
* Experience of Network Enabled Capability (NEC) and Network Centric Warfare (NCW)
* Knowledge of IMINT and SIGINT/ELINT, COMINT, MASINT, OSINT and HUMINT
* Understanding of the DCPD workflow
* Understanding of the sense to shoot (Boyd cycle aka OODA loop) military cycle
* Understanding of signal, data and information processing and fusion (at a high level) and their impacts on processing,
networks and information quality
* Knowledge of security aspects and solutions
* Knowledge of Systems requirements and object based design decomposition methodology and tools
* Experienced in presenting at all levels within an organisation
* Customer Interface experience
* Familiarity with Risk and Opportunity Identification, Tracking, and Mitigation processes
* Establishing and implementing process improvement across engineering and the business as agreed with the Heads of
Business and Heads of Function.
