NS4653:Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Great Yarmouth
Salary:up to £38,000 + Benefits
A Maintenance Supervisor is required to be responsible for day to day supervision and functioning of a busy Maintenance Department. The Maintenance Supervisor will develop and organise these functions to ensure the smooth operation of various processes that provide service delivery in the optimum way, supporting current / planned projects and promoting a reputation for excellence with clients. The Maintenance Supervisor will establish ways in which the company can become more productive and develop an environment that improves efficiency of workforce.
Main Responsibilities
1. Maintenance Department Supervision
*As department supervisor lead by example and actively manage the day to day maintenance of assigned Company equipment.
*Ensure all reporting staff have a role and responsibility statement plus set of objectives that are written in a 'SMART' format and reviewed / documented monthly.
*Maintain a good working relationship with all customers and colleagues.
*Empower all Maintenance staff with a positive attitude, a sense of responsibility and a willingness to work to their maximum expected capacities.
2. Maintenance Service Delivery
*Ensure the right tooling and equipment is in place to deliver products and services to the required standards and generate positive feedback from clients.
*Ensure that all Equipment Tool Inspection (ETI) records are completed with in the time frame allocated for assigned equipment.
*Ensure safe system of work is operated within the departments activities.
*Objectively monitor and analyse maintenance department performance and service quality on an on-going basis including third party contractors/suppliers. Provide recommendations to line manager on ways to continually improve efficiency and implement agreed actions.
*Interact with other department supervisors and contribute new ideas and solutions as part of a continuous improvement process.
Additional Responsibilities
*Receive and perform work scopes on Job Travellers issued to Maintenance Department by the Onshore Operations Manager.
*Draft maintenance procedures and written schemes of examination for assigned equipment for review and approval by Onshore Operations Manager.
*Implement an on - going maintenance schedule for all assigned equipment as required by procedures and written schemes of examination.
*Conduct regular meetings with maintenance staff, ensuring all on- going work scopes and any specific issues such as safety, transportation, craneage etc. have been addressed.
*Ensure required equipment has been appropriately tested and verified and all tooling is in good working order and suitable for job in hand prior to operation.
*Review, approve and submit all overtime forms from maintenance department personnel to Line Manager.
*Liaise with procurement to order required spares and consumables
*Where appropriate, review and comment on the suitability of procedures and equipment proposed to be used for Project work.
*Provide input into forward recruitment planning for Maintenance Department.
*
*As required deal with client (external or internal) complaints in a timely manner.
*Input into received Continuous Improvement Forms (CIF) as and when required.
*When appropriate provide positive and constructive feedback to Maintenance Department staff.
Experience & Skills
*Relevant experience in running a Maintenance Department and/or working with a maintenance team.
*Would preferably have working knowledge of drilling equipment/procedures.
*Experience with procedures for equipment preparation and equipment maintenance.
*Good Engineering aptitude.
*Exposure to business management systems for quality, safety and environment.
*Experience in writing procedures for activities and implementation of such.
*Ability to prioritise own workloads.
*Working knowledge of management techniques.
*Strong organisational ability with logical, ordered thought processes.
*Fast - effective problem solving ability.
*Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
*Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel skills.

Hours of work - 8.30am - 5.30pm (40 hours), 1 hour lunch break
