An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Senior Verification Engineer to join an expanding team within a prominent, market-leading fabless IC Design company in Berkshire.

Our client is a specialist in providing great sound from mobile devices, and is offering an innovative and skilled engineer the chance to work on their next generation of consumer electronics products for the audio, video, imaging and communications industries. You will make a significant contribution to the product development process by leading and owning the verification of complex digital circuits from definition through to delivery within this major R&D site, and take overall responsibility for verifying complex digital designs.

The ideal candidate will offer extensive experience in the verification of complex digital blocks, including; verification requirement extraction, verification planning, testbench development using UVM/OVM verification methodologies, assertion based verification, functional coverage development, development of directed and constrained random testcases, and the ability to debug RTL and gate level designs.

Expertise in a good mix of the following areas is required;

* Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog, UVM, OVM, or C/C++ and HW/SW co-simulation
* Experience verifying audio codecs and their subcomponents.
* Experience verifying various peripherals (SPI, I2C, SlimBus).
* Perl, Python, Ruby and/or UNIX and/or knowledge of EDA tools (simulators, waveform debuggers).

Energy and organisational skills are highly important attributes, as well as the eagerness to take on a technical challenge and develop your leadership skills. You will have great communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to engage actively with the team and across all business groups.
