Role Summary/Purpose:
The Stress Engineer role will work within a project team carrying out fatigue and damage tolerance analysis on the A350
wing trailing edge. You will take full responsibility for analysis tasks, and will provide regular updates to your
analysis team leader as well as the programs teams. You will have the opportunity to develop your analysis skills,
present technical information to the customer and make a valuable contribution to this major engineering program.
Essential Responsibilities
* Execute the analysis of components of the A350XWB trailing edge (your assigned work package)
* Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures
* Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments within your assigned work package
* Learn and develop your stress analysis skills through mentoring, on the job training and formal learning
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or similar level of knowledge and experience
* Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools, and systems
* Prior experience carrying out structural analysis within the aviation industry, preferably on aircraft structures
* Ability to carry out analysis tasks proficiently with minimal supervision
* Solid understanding of structural analysis methods and principles
* Solid oral and written communication skills
* Strong interpersonal skills
* PC proficiency
