THE COMPANY


Well established as a global market leader in the manufacture of CNC grinding machines, this business continues to experience excellent organic growth. Having trebled their target last year the business expects to double the number of machines sold this year. To achieve this target the business needs another sales manager to develop the account base.

THE ROLE

As an export sales manager you will be office based when not abroad. Dealing with distributors in the Middle and Far East as well as South East Asia you will responsible for attending exhibitions through the year and then spending a 1 week in 4 in the field. When overseas you will be doing joint end user visits to automotive and machine tool manufacturers providing technical expertise as well as training and developing your agents to maximise their performance.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal export sales manager should have:

1. A Strong mechanical engineering background
2. At least 3-5 years experience in field sales (not necessarily export)
3. Ability to travel
4. Desire to be successful

SALES & TENDERING ENGINEER
POWER CONVERSION SYSTEMS
BASED WARWICKSHIRE


An opportunity is now available for a Sales & Tendering Engineer to join the Electrical Machines Service Department of this global specialist in power conversion where you will assist in the production of quotations and the development of customer relationships. The role will consist of approximately 25% sales and 75% tendering duties.

You will carry out the tendering activity for fixed price, time, material estimates and refurbishment contracts for the Electrical Machines Service Department as well as ensuring smooth development and maintenance of customer relationships as identified by the ECS Product Manager. As Sales & Tendering Engineer you will also identify and implement improvements to tender handling processes to continually improve effectiveness and will ensure that the standard of tendering information is maintained.

Successful Sales & Tendering Engineers will have good verbal & written communication skills along with experience in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Access. You should have experience in a similar role and knowledge of excitation control systems and rotating machines. Further education in engineering (power electronics) or a commercial discipline is desirable for this role but not essential.
