Contracts Engineer

My client designs and manufactures special purpose machinery in the Leicester area. In this role you will work closely with the Engineering Manager while liaising with the customer. As you will be required to travel to site with this role a company car will be provided so a driving licence is essential for this role.
The successful candidate will –
• Have overall responsibility of contracts, manage them from order to completion
• Be responsible for the management of site activities including Health & Safety
• Liaise with the customer on all elements of the contract
• Provide necessary site supervision and inspect the site works and documentation
• Liaise with internal and external contractors to manage the build on site
• Collate financial performance of contracts and provide feedback which will be used for future contracts
You will have a HNC in a related subject and have an H&S qualification. You will have a good understanding of technical drawings, be computer literate and have excellent communication and organisational skills.

Contracts Manager
A good contracts manager is required to manage house foundations contracts and projects in the Peterborough & Cambridge area predominantly. They will be responsible for planning contracts in conjunction with other depts and subcontractors. They will take managerial responsibility, reviewing estimates, design and front projects with the client from receipt of the order (following hand over from the sales team) through to final completion. Therefore, candidates will need previous experience in a contracts management role in the construction industry. They must have a managerial CSCS card. Candidates are likely to have a NHC or HND in civil engineering, some autocad skills, excellent managerial and people skills, good communication, organisation, planning, influencing and negotiating skills in addition to a wealth of knowledge and experience in the construction industry. Candidates must be self managed, computer literate and have a reasonably clean driving licence.
Due to the location of the work - ideally we need someone who lives around the Cambridge Peterborough area

Project Engineers

The successful candidates will be based in the company’s contracts office. Candidates must have industrial experience, be able to work with minimal supervision, have excellent communication skills, and preferably experience in sheetmetal work & acoustic design.
