Our client are looking for a Buyer / Planner, this is a dual role which requires a candidate with excellent organisational, communication & managerial skills. The role will be working for a major retail manufacturer who supply display units to high street retailer. The company was formed in the 80's and has a turnover of close to £34m. The candidate will be office based and coordinate all the buying and planning within the company. This is a very important role as all the systems have been updated so someone with excellent organisational skills is key.
Skills & Experience
" Excellent organisation, planning & problems solving skills as well as proven communication & analytical skills.
" Proficient in using MS Word, Excel, MS Project & Concorde(Training provided)
" Candidates who apply MUST have extensive experience of using the MRP buying system. Preferable implementing the system into an organisation.

A Principal Mechanical Engineer is required to join a modern Combined Cycle Power Station in Essex. You will provide Mechanical Engineering expertise to the Operations and Maintenance Groups, including leadership of routine and shutdown activities associated with a CCGT facility.
Working closely with our client you will be responsible for the procurement of all Machine, Repair and Operating components required in order to facilitate the smooth engineering processes of their factory. The materials & components are to be obtained at the lowest possible cost, whilst ensuring that all technical, quality, logistics, production and financial objectives are met.
Applicants will be responsible for providing solutions to technical queries raised from internal departments, customers, overseas agents and global Business Centres. This is an active role within the
Service Division, advising on all aspects relating to the effective support and training of products.
This position requires an enthusiastic, adaptable Engineer with a strong ability to learn quickly and work well in a team environment.
The main responsibilities of this position will be systematic analysis of SMT and PCB production conditions, identification of root causes of quality failures, achievement of process times and high WIP inventory. Step change in QCD performance using lean tools and a Six Sigma approach to process improvement are key features of this role.
The successful applicant will have an HNC or degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent, and significant experience of SMT Process Improvement.
Applicants should have good experience of current team methodology including supporting a ‘5S' culture and leading & implementing 8-D problem solving & cost reduction. The aim of this role is to improve QCD performance by using quality monitoring tools and having a Six Sigma approach to process improvement.
The successful applicant should possess a HNC or degree in an engineering discipline, or equivalent, and have experience of 5S & 8-D problem solving.
