Site Services Technician - Nottingham

Site Services Maintenance Technician
£21-25K per annum depending on experience.

We are currently recruiting for a high-class manufacturer of reputable branded goods, based here in Nottingham.

They are currently looking for a site services technician to join their building services maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and continuous upgrade of all site services; HVAC, boiler house, pumps, motors. Wherever possible equipment is fixed and repaired but in cases where the equipment is beyond repair, the technician will liaise with contractors & source replacement equipment / parts.

Applicants should be qualified to BTECH or HNC level in electrical, mechanical or production maintenance engineering

A sound knowledge of building services and HVAC systems is highly desirable.

An electrical appreciation is also important and applicants should be familiar with
isolation procedures and have an understanding of related controls and instrumentation systems.

Other desired skills include;
Knowledge and application of UK regulatory standards.
Knowledge and application of ISO14001, OHSAS18001 ISO9001 standards.
Knowledge and understanding of effective operation and maintenance of Site Services plant, equipment and systems, including HVAC, water systems, compressed air, boiler plant, utilities supply, CMMS etc

Primarily the Maintenance Team Leader will serve as the first line manager for the area maintenance team, to deliver and improve maintenance systems ensuring departmental KPIs are achieved. Essentially this role is required to provide management and leadership for the maintenance/improvement engineers on a day to day basis. The Maintenance Team Leader will participate fully in area improvement plans relating to quality, cost and safety. They will also be responsible for controlling all repair and maintenance budgets for the area. Furthermore they will be responsible for identifying and delivering improvements to the overall area maintenance strategy.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities
• Responsible for delivering line OEE through proactive engineering maintenance
• Maintain gross margin by controlling R&M spend
• Continuously improve and deliver maintenance strategy
• Constantly appraise and address training and development needs of team
• Lead engineering training of production teams
• Responsibility for teams compliance with company and statutory health and safety requirements
