An excellent opportunity is available for a Maintenance Engineer to work for a global brand and successful manufacturer.
The successful candidate will undertake electrical and mechanical maintenance of all manufacturing plant, general equipment, building and utilities.
Main responsibilities and duties: -
1. Carry out maintenance tasks as detailed by the Team Leader. These will include:
a) Preventive maintenance work on all electrical & mechanical equipment.
b) Improve electrical and mechanical safety of equipment.
c) Fault finding in electrical, PLC and SCADA control systems.
d) Maintenance of instrumentation.
e) Installation of fuse boards, switch gear and starters.
f) Installation of conduit, armoured cable for electrical distribution.
g) Carry out mechanical fabrication work associated with the installation work e.g. brackets, plates and fixings.
h) Liaise and assist mechanical engineering staff as required in Primary engineering.
i) Manage local projects and provide support to Capital Projects

Multi-skilled maintenance technician required for reputable manufacturer of food products. Working on high-speed food process and packaging lines, dealing with breakdowns as well as ensuring planned maintenance tasks are carried out at the correct frequency. Ensuring maintenance is carried out punctually and all works are documented accordingly using the PM database.
As well as dealing with the day-to-day maintenance activities, you will be involved in continuous improvement initiatives from concept to completion. This will involve machinery upgrades and improvements across the site.
As part of the maintenance team working over 3 shifts, you will liaise closely with colleagues within and across shift regarding engineering matters; help develop the team engineering skills and help to co-ordinate and conduct engineering training.
QUALIFICATIONS
A professional engineering qualification will be required for this role to at least City & Guilds level, NVQ level 3 or equivalent in an electrical / mechanical maintenance discipline. Any experience of hydraulics or PLCs will be advantageous, as will be the ability to clearly understand engineering drawings, symbols and notation.

Site shift engineer for UK leader in the materials handling industry. Role will operate on a double day shift pattern with potential long term to move into field service. Basic salary up to £21,000 plus shift allowance and overtime.

Role Description
You role will be working at a major client site servicing and repairing narrow aisle forklift trucks. There are 90 trucks on the site in total and this will involve repairing AC/DC Motors and working with up to 80V electrics. You will also be working with fault finding and repair of gas and diesel engines.
Long term prospects with the company are great with options to move into field service as the last employee in this role did.
Required Experience
The company are looking to meet candidates who have either been in the armed forces and have gained experience with plant based machinery or who have worked in some sort of materials handling industry. A flexible attitude towards shift work would be great and if you are the sort of person who loves to belong in a branded company then this company would be fantastic for you to join.
