TERRITORY SALES ENGINEER

Specialising in the manufacture and service contracts of automatic doors, this £500 million blue chip market leader has seen the development of their staff as being the back-bone that has lead to consistent 20% year on year growth. They are now looking for a Territory sales engineer to manage the company's prestigious customers within the NHS and high street retail chains.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the sales manager, the Territory sales engineer will possess the professional aptitude to deal with surveyors and estate managers. You will be predominantly maximising business within existing accounts, but also be supplied with warm leads in order to win new business. You will also be expected to provide technical support on maintenance sales as well as selling consumables.

Role Description:
Detailed mechanical and structural design of gas turbine air intake filtration systems, combustion exhaust gas systems and associated acoustic components and packages.
Mechanical and structural design of products and systems for power generation, oil and gas and similar industrial projects worldwide.
Produce cost-effective designs, in-compliance with specified requirements, within budget and to pre-defined deadlines.
Participate in research and development of new products and optimisation of existing product range.
Provide technical support to sales, projects, manufacturing and customer service departments.
Review client specifications, clearly identifying technical, engineering and commercial requirements, and risks.
Required Experience:
Mechanical / structural engineering design experience, previous experience using FEA / structural / mechanical analysis software packages (i.e., ANSYS, STAAD/PRO, QSE etc.)

An understanding of pipe ring statics including estimation of load on ring, selection deformation and stress calculation is also a requisite for this role. As part of their role, the Technical Engineer will also need the ability to construct numerical models from as-laid drawings, on-line inspection data and CAD interfaces. Familiarity with/awareness of IGE/TD/1, ASME B31.3 & 31.8, BS8010 parts 1 & 2, NEN3650 codes would be highly desirable. Good report writing skills as well as customer communication/liaison skills are also important for this role.

Qualified to degree level in Chemical, Process or Mechanical Engineering, (MSc or PhD would be advantageous but not essential), you will have experience in an energy industry or related sector (electricity, fuel production or processing). An analytical approach is required with the ability to blend good technical understanding with commercial factors.
