Contracts Officer - required by this leading Defence organisation to administer and manage a number of technical support contracts and the 'ad hoc' requests from customers for spares and repairs.
Key responsibility areas:
Maintaining the customer interface on all commercial matters including contract discussions, invoicing and payments. The day to day administration and management of the contracts interfacing with the project team and other functions to ensure commercial aspects are considered. Reporting into the Senior Commercial Manager and supporting miscellaneous tasks which arise from associated commercial activities.
To also provide support to bids and offers of lesser value services in accordance with company commercial policy. To support the commercial team in the maintaining of databases and records of commercial activities.
The Contracts Officer will be educated to at least BTEC (including OND/ONC) in a Business related subject. Experience of a Commercial role is desirable. Experience in the use of Microsoft applications and bespoke systems will be required. Full training will be provided on all specialist computer systems.
It will be necessary to travel to other sites and customer locations as required, travelling as part of a team and with support form the commercial management structure.
