Job Title: Mechanical Designer
The Role
As the mechanical designer you will be involved with the design of components used in compressed air systems. Using CAD - Solid Edge (training provided) you will be interpreting customer drawings /specifications and draughting 2D/3D components, doing calculations and liaising with the clients. You will be working on multiple projects which last approx. 4 days. The team are well established and work closely with production and manufacturing. This role offers great progression opportunities for the right candidate

Our client is a leader in the design and manufacture of components used in compressed air systems. Supplying to a global market the company employ 3000 staff worldwide. The business is part of a FTSE listed group so they can offer their employees the best in development and training. The department that design these components has 60 staff and they boast an average time service of 16 years.
The Candidate
This role will suit a mechanically biased engineer with knowledge in 2D/3D design - draughting. Ideally you have an understanding of rotating equipment however training is provided. You will be based in an open plan office and there is a strong team culture.

Rail Civil Site Agent - Reading
Salary:- £37,000 - £42,000 + Car or Allowance + Package
Location:- Reading
Role Description:
This role requires either a rail site agent to step over to work for a main contractor running a rail project up to 2million in size. The other option is a civil engineer looking to step up to a site agent role from working on larger projects in a sub-agent capacity. This project is due to start in the next 6 weeks but need someone on board ASAP to pick up the project from the design stage and ready to hit the ground running when the site work starts. This project is for Network Rail and is mostly minor civil's upgrading the communications and signalling networks.
Once this project is complete typical projects could include:-
" Earthworks
" Bridge Strengthening
" Platform extensions
" Station modifications / refurbishments
" Rail infrastructure upgrades
As a rail site agent you will be in full control of the project from start to finish. Responsible for delivering to the programme, controlling project budget and reporting in to the contracts manager who will provide any technical support you will require. You will have 2 sub-agents reporting in to you to support you on the project and help with site delivery.
Required experience:
Civil qualification would be ideal but experience in the rail sector on civil projects would also be advantageous. You must have experience at a supervisory level on projects either controlling the commercial aspect or being involved with the programme and project costs.
Benefits Package:
