Job Purpose

The Hardware Engineer will be responisble for the verification of queried test results provided by AIT (assembly, integration and test) or a TDC (technical diagnostics cell).
Provision of technical diagnostic advice to facilitate repair via module exchange.
Performance of LRI debug, including RF sensitivity, gain and cable loss measurement, and appreciation of VME, SDLC and wire/optical bus operation.
Training of test operators and TDC staff.
To provide technical guidance and perform RF and digital debug for the T1 and T2 production, retrofit and repair of Processor LRIs.
Area of Experience
Familiarity with automated testing and ability to interpret test results.
Digital / RF electronics /prod. or developmn / integration test diagnosis, internal operation of the Processor LRI/Detailed knowledge of the prod. process.
Skills
Industrial Experience
Perform fault finding to module level methodically/via range of test equip.
Ability to analyse LRI performance.

Pump Fitter
Based in Luton, my client provide servicing & maintenance of pumps, rotating and reciprocating machinery, fans, gearboxes and other similar heavy industrial equipment to all of UK.
Due to an increase in workload my client requires an experienced pump fitter. The ideal candidate will come from a background of servicing, overhauling and repairing pumps and pumping equipment including shafts, seals, valves and bearings. The ability to undertake basic machining perhaps from a toolmaker or fitter/turner apprenticeship or similar would be ideal.
This role offers a standard rate of £10 per hour with lots of overtime potential paid at time & half.
