My client has supplies Structural Steelwork and Architectural Metalwork to the construction industry nationwide. They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join an existing team in the Derbyshire area.
In this role the successful applicant will prepare project bids and monitoring the financial performance within projects. You will be responsible for –
• Contracts and Tenders
• Assess contractual implications of tenders to be submitted
• Respond to letters of intent / sub contract orders / credit check clients
• Vet all proposed forms of contract / sub contract
• Attend pre contract and mid-bid meetings
• Attend progress meetings and co-ordinate works on site with clients
• Provide elements of financial control to ensure correct payments are received
Applicants must have previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role and a relevant qualification in this area. You will be flexible, self motivated, have attention to detail and have good communication skills. Estimating experience would be desirable but not essential.
Safety Case Engineers are required from junior through to principle level with opportunities in Plymouth, Bristol and possibly Helensburgh area depending on previous experience.
