An Administrator is required to start immediately for a large defence organisation. The role is for an initial 3 month rolling contract and is based in Crawley.
Safety Engineer - required by this leader in the Defence industry to be accountable to the Safety Manager for ensuring that all company designs and products meet all appropriate safety requirements and current legislation, where relevant. To ensure that all product safety work carried out by Technical Authorities or other Engineering staff is regulated, audited and reviewed such that all designs and products can be verified, and where necessary certified, as safe to use for their intended purpose. Where necessary, to deputise for the Safety Manager for Product and Design Safety Certification.
The role will be based in West Sussex and is commutable from Brighton, Billingshurst, East Grinstead and Croydon.
Key Tasks
Product Safety - Take responsibility for the supervision and regulation of Product Safety work for engineering projects undertaken at the designated site, or for other engineering projects as delegated by the Safety Manager. Ensure all formal safety documents supporting claims for Design Performance or Certification of Design are fully supported by traceable arguments and evidence. Act as the Chairperson for all Safety Committee meetings, HAZOPs and other formal meetings within the Safety Engineer’s area of responsibility, at the designated site. Act as the Signature Authority for all formal Safety Cases, Software Safety Cases, Safety Assessments and Reports, within the Safety Engineer’s area of responsibility, at the designated site.
Product development and tenders - Provide expert contribution, guidance and consultancy to ensure safety is implemented in the emerging design of Prototypes, Technology Demonstrators and other funded development work. Ensure all that appropriate safety management actions are taken by the Technical Authority for emerging designs for Prototypes, Technology Demonstrators other funded development work.

Commodity Manager is required by this leading supplier of equipment and services to the world's most advanced industries.
The Commodity Manager will need proven purchasing experience in Commodity/Category Management or in a sourcing role within indirect products and services for a large multinational multi site organisation. Preferably you will have had direct experience in many of the following categories, contract labour, utilities, insurance, travel, facilities management, IM, telecoms, MRO supplies.
Responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts and supplying agreements for indirect products and services. You will have responsibility for developing commodity strategies, managing key supplier and stakeholder relationships, identifying opportunities through spend analysis, justifying and mobilising resources to deliver benefits from strategic sourcing, LCC sourcing, demand management, e procurement, contract compliance, SRM as applied to the companies' indirect spend profile. A Post Graduate Degree (business) desirable but not essential preferable with Chartered Institute of Purchasing qualifications.
We also require good analytical skills and be familiar with spend management techniques, a good working knowledge and understanding of business and intellectual property contract terms and conditions and strong oral and written communication skills, cost management skills, and innovative problem solving ability. We are also looking for evidence of supply market analysis, strategic partnering and complex negotiations together with international purchasing experience will be advantageous.
