An opportunity has arisen for a self motivated individual to work within the MAS Production Planning Functional Team as an Asset Management Planner. MOD Security Clearance Critieria is applicable to this position. All applicants must be able to meet strict MOD criteria.
The Asset Management Planner will typically hold an HND /HNC or equivalent professional qualification and evidence of previous experience in a Tool Control / Management and or Production Control role would be advantageous together with an understanding of Tool Control / Management processes and appropriate Production Control and Logistics theories and applications would also be beneficial. As the role involves a high level of Stakeholder interaction, good communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to communicate effectively are essential

Commercial Manager - required for this world leader in developing advanced technology for Defence and Commercial Aerospace. Provide commercial leadership to engineering and business development teams to develop affordable and successful commercial bid strategies for the Autonomous Systems & Future Capability (ASFC) business portfolio. Assess, challenge, authorise and subsequently negotiate all activities relating to cost and/or pricing information both externally and internally. Prepare the commercial response in tenders appraising and offering terms & conditions proposals take into account risk and commercial policy.
Key responsibility areas
To be responsible for:(a) the generation of commercial proposals for the ASFC Team addressing both the terms and conditions and generation of pricing material with the aim of maximising sustainable profit levels for the ASFC business, addressing the affordability constraints of the customer and assessing the level of risk apparent within a bid. The compilation of all cost estimates required for Bid Submissions and Request for Bid Approval (RBA). This activity includes compilation of initial RoM estimates, provision of support to determine the affordable bid strategy, generation of the proposal cost estimate and price and subsequent compilation of cost and price estimates for contract change proposals. The substantiation of all cost estimates during the Request for Bid Approval process and the compilation of the cost to price build-up based on agreed Commercial and Functional stakeholder inputs.

Key responsibility areas:
To manage the preparation and submission of commercial proposals as part of the business winning team, including the preparation of estimates/prices and the management of the Request for Bid Approval (RBA) prices within the authorised DoA. Formulate and obtain approval for all agreements to be entered into by the business as prime or sub contractor, and to enter in to all contractual commitments with customers on behalf of the business. Manage the negotiations with customers of contract terms and conditions, including price and payment, leading to contract award and acceptance. Manage effective contract execution through the lifecycle, from the issue of proper internal authorisation through to contract closure. Provide senior leadership to direct and ensure the commercial capability exists to deliver the Integrated Business Plan. Provide Commercial Governance.
The Commercial Executive will educated to Degree level and possess broad based knowledge of, and extensive experience working within, the Defence industry. The Contracts Officer is responsible for preparing commercial bids and proposals, drafting contracts, the conduct and support of contract negotiations with external customers, contract administration and the preparation of data to support Senior Management Reviews. Good oral and written communication skills are essential.
Estimators:
Deliver timely and accurate prime cost estimates through commercial governance and configuration control of costing data, as well as conducting detailed negotiations of these estimates with the National Pricing Authorities. In addition, provide effective cost modelling and cost analysis of price elements. Good mathematical and analytical skills are essential.
The Contracts Officer is required to be Customer focussed through the formulation and implementation of strategy to meet both internal and external customer expectations. A can do approach and two way communication is a key part of the role.
