Quality Engineer - Cheshire

Quality Engineer is required by this leading defence organisation to provide support to manufacturing in delivering and supporting contract quality conditions. Based Nr Crewe. All applicants will be required to undergo MOD security clearance and must therefore meet security criteria.

The role will suit someone with an analytical mindset and a motivated approach to work. You must be able to demonstrate a good mechanical understanding and a history of working with people to develop both processes and product.

The role will involve:-
Assessing the quality of incoming goods documentation. Liaison with purchasing organisation and supplier companies. Giving advice on quality principles applicable to all stages of the manufacturing process. Managing and conducting internal audits. Analysis of quality records in order to ensure feedback of information to manufacturing departments. Promoting continual improvement initiatives. Involvement in corrective and preventive actions. Supporting BSI and customer audits when required.

The Quality Engineer will be a team player with experience in the quality control techniques required for a mass production manufacturing environment. Commercial Quality Control Management within the mass production industry. Strong experience and a strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes. You will have proven people skills and experience of working within ISO9001:2000, GMP and Internal Auditor. Applications before 18/5/08.
