Control Systems Engineer

My client specializes in high volume manufacture of building products and they are looking for two control systems engineers to join a team based in the Leicestershire area. This is a fantastic opportunity as you will receive on going training in the role, receive 25 days holiday plus stats and there is an option of a pension scheme.
The successful applicant will –
• Have a HNC/ Degree in Electronic/ Electrical Engineering
• Have experience of working in a continuous production industry or process control
• Have experience of Allan Bradley, Siemens S7 PLC’s
• Ideally have experience of variable speed drives
• Programme PLC’s, SCADA and control systems
• Supervise electrical staff and contractors
• Run improvement projects
You will be a good team player, have good communication skills and be able to use your own initiative. You will have a flexible approach to work as the role will be varied with many new challenges.

We are currently recruiting for a client just east of Nottingham who design & manufacture switchgear. The post is to work with the installation team, commissioning control panels. The work can involve extensive travel, predominantly throughout the Midlands & Yorkshire, occasionally staying away.
Required experience:
- test & commissioning of control panels
- need to be familiar with PLC's (predominantly Mitsubishi & Allen Bradley)
- electrical fault finding
- checking field connectors

Controls & Instrumentation Technician

My client specialise in the design, build and supply of sophisticated engineering solutions and services to a wide range of sectors to include materials handling, nuclear, power and defence.
They are currently recruiting for a control and instrumentation to technician to work from their head office in Leicester.
Role and Responsibilities
Ensure that sufficient and suitable records or progress, by way of a formal daily log and labour returns, are produced and submitted in a timely manner.
Input to the Team Leader's forecasts of resource and labour requirements to satisfy the needs of the forthcoming work.
Ensure, by means of recorded weekly toolbox talks, that he understands and signs on to all relevant method statements, permit systems, risk assessments, safety task assignments, etc associated with his work.
Record any problems encountered during the progress of the work and notify the Team Leader (or Deputy Team Leader) of the details promptly.
Ensure compliance with the requirements of the relevant method statement (Quality Plan) and associated documentation and related legislation.
Help to produce Method Statements, Risk Statements, where appropriate.
Be able to set up and operate all equipment during Monitoring, Trepaning and Camera Inspection Activities.
Be conversant with all activities associated with maintenance, modification and cleaning of all associated equipment whilst being responsible for the carrying out all C&I activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Recognised training or Apprenticeship as an Electrical/C&I Technician
3 years Site experience
Ability to work away from home
