Contracts Manager – Building Maintenance

£30,000 Plus Company Performance-based Bonus (On target Bonus - £6,000), Car or Car Allowance, Pension Scheme
Our client is a specialist remedial contractor, working within the building industry that carries out refurbishment work to the external fabric of existing buildings. They are currently looking to recruit a Contracts Manager.
Role: Civil Site Engineer £Multi- million Rail Projects !
Location: South Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum +Annual Bonus+ Van+ Pension.
Role Description:
An experienced Site Engineer is required for civil and rail infrastructure disciplines:-production of method statements,
- reading civil engineering designs, liaising with sub contractors,
- diary management
- risk assessments
Working on various rail projects, including bridges, platforms and stations. Site Engineer will be a team player with a strong will to develop your career be it to an established Site Agent, or Project Manager.
Required experience:
Successful candidates will have at least a years experience in a civil engineering environment, preferably on rail projects. Qualifications are desired but experience is key. Candidates should be motivated by career development and the prestige of working on prestigious projects.

The Role : SITE MANAGER
Working in a Site Managers role you will be required to oversee the refurbishment and extension on a £3million Morrison store in Mansfield.
Reporting into a Project Manager, you will be required to supervise the sub contractors whilst ensuring that the QA processes are adhered to. As Site Manager you will also be able to demonstrate technical competence as you are required to translate drawings into Construction as well as having the ability to liaise with the client.
The project will be in a live working environment so as a Site manager you need to be efficient, well organised as well as having a firm but fair approach to ensure that packages of works are completed on time.

Role Description
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor you are required to support the role of Quantity Surveyor by taking responsibility for effectively delivering a range of tasks to high quality standards
Depending on your competence you will also have the opportunity to perform the role of Quantity Surveyor on small projects, taking responsibility for end to end service delivery.
Key Accountabilities
Assistant Quantity Surveyor's are expected to Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor on a range of tasks, to include:
- Estimating and producing cost plans
- Compiling and amending the tender list
- Drafting the procurement documentation
- Checking and analysing the tenders
- Drafting the tender report
- Dealing with variations and the change control processes,
- Conducting cost checks and valuations
- Drafting monthly reports
- Analysing the numbers for the final accounts
- Liaising with the client, contractors, designers, etc.
Required Experience
Candidates will have some previous experience of working on Construction Projects (either from a placement year or post grad experience of at least 6 months)Candidates from a Main Contractor background are also encouraged to apply.
Qualifications in a relevant subject, such as Quantity Surveying will be desirable, however the company place a heavy emphasis on your motivations, aspirations and personality as they look to recruit and develop the successful candidates.
