Salary and Location
£35,000 - £40,000. Based in Essex

Role Description
The Civil Project Engineer will be working on civil and groundworks projects within the rail industry. Using your design capabilities, the Project Engineer will liaise with the design consultants, clients, site team and Project Managers to advise on technical issues and problems. You must be able to problem solve quickly and effectively and act accordingly to apply civil / geotechnical design methods.

The Project Engineer will oversee each stage from initial design through to modifications and finally the completed groundworks / civil project. Typical projects include embankment stabilisations, earthworks, land reclamation and various other infrastructure works. A keen eye for detail and quality is required alongside excellent oral and written communication skills.

Required Experience
You need to have previous experience in heavy civil engineering projects; be it: rail, earthworks, geotechnical or water industries. You must also have a minimum of two years design experience and one year of site experience in a hands on role. This must be accompanied by a civil qualification be it HNC / HND / Degree.

Benefits Package
Salary ranges from £35,000 - £40,000 depending on project experience, skills and ability. Additional benefits include private health care, pension scheme and car or car allowance. Additional is provided, be it in house or external qualifications, to help you progress your career.

Salary and Location
£42,000 - £45,000 + benefits. Based Essex.

Role Description
The Construction Manager will be responsible for various civil projects with a rail bias of up to £1m in value, including:
- Bridge reconstruction
- Platform extensions
- Station refurbishments
- Embankment stabilisations
- Line side structures

The Construction Manager will be responsible for the smooth running of rail frameworks from conception to completion. Working closely with the area Contracts Manager, the Construction Manager will be writing the work package plans, including full method statements and risk assessments. Other responsibilities will include:
- Cost planning and budget control
- Attending tendering and planning meetings
- Liaising with the design team to ensure delivery to date
- Management of Site Managers to deliver projects on time and to budget

Required Experience
A civil engineering qualification is required and experience of working on heavy civils projects is essential. Previous rail experience is desirable, but you must have prior experience in writing work package plans and method statements. The Construction Manager must be able to manage several aspects of a project at any one time, so excellent communication skills are essential to be successful.
