The role would be varied and could involve the use of servo-hydraulic test machines and instrumentation including strain gauges, accelerometers and PC based data logging equipment in the laboratory and in field testing. As a Trainee you will also be involved in the manufacture and physical testing of prototype products.

Our client is a civil and structural consultancy employing over five hundred staff throughout a national network of offices. They are a multidiscipline consultancy employing building structures engineers, geologists, hydrologists, surveyors, architects and environmental scientists. The workload includes industrial buildings (new and refurbishment), hospital, educational and private developer work. The existing and forthcoming workload is healthy and they are keen to exploit the wealth of new business opportunities that are available to them. You will be involved in the whole design process from feasibility to completion. This will entail client consultations, design supervision and supervision of junior staff. There will also be the need to carry out hands on design work from time to time.
Our client designs, fabricates and builds a range of large commercial, industrial and residential buildings and modular systems. Current projects include a new aircraft hanger with a 125m clear span, three new schools and a new retail development and their order book is very healthy. They are looking for a technician with existing structural CAD experience, probably gained within a consulting practice using AutoCad. The drawing office is at the heart of the business, so the role will provide plenty of potential for career progression. You will be based in new purpose built offices and will be under the guidance and supervision of the drawing office director with close support from the rest of the team. Full training in the use of ExSteel will be provided. There are two bonuses per year and whilst it is never guaranteed, there is currently plenty of overtime available to those who want it. As a Technical Author the role will involve working on specific projects within the oil and gas industry. What experience is needed?
The client is looking for a contractor who will come into the company and be able to be left to produce these procedures using own initiative. As a Technical Author you will be expected to have experience of writing training programs, ideally from the oil and gas industry, however, this is not essential.

Reporting to the Consultant RF Engineer/Project Manager. You will be proficient in the discipline of RF circuit, Antenna design and test within the division developing RF subsystems that are robust, cost effective and delivered on time in line with new and emerging technologies.
Principal Accountabilities
Research and development of transceiver and antenna subsystems including specification, architectural/system design, modelling, preparation of schematics, test/verification, documentation etc. Major contributor to the development RF sub-system projects as either a lead or within a team delivering to internal customer facing teams. Major contributor to formal Design and Project Reviews including input to other areas of discipline e.g., Test, Manufacturing, etc. Create work breakdown and estimates for new Projects and RF sub-systems. Create specifications for RF components and sub-modules as required, and as outlined in company Product Development Process, to ensure compliance with customer specification. Ensure proper test, debug and verification of hardware prior to release and as dictated by functional requirements. Evaluates RF and transceiver components/modules in line with the technology roadmap, producing detailed technical reports. Audits and critiques departmental and external outsource partners output to ensure adherence to a consistent company standard enabling robust, well defined, fully tested, documented, maintainable and cost effective designs. Contributes to the definition and promotion of company quality standards for RF engineering. Contributes to and promotes improvement of the company Product Development process; continually reviewing the working methods to ensure the most efficient operation. Liaise with Customers, Suppliers and Partners. Good aptitude for communication, coaching, mentoring with less experienced Engineers.

What the company are looking for within a candidate:
• A mechanical engineer with a relevant mechanical qualification, ideally although not essentially Chartered.
• Experience gained within the oil and gas, petrochem or power industries working on equipment which includes turbines, structural steel work, piping systems, pressure vessels and tanks.
• Proven track record in the management of multi-million pound construction projects within this sector.
• Experience of overseeing projects through installation, erection, pre commissioning, commissioning and testing.
What the role will involve:
• Overseeing the full project life cycle from construction and installation of kit on site through pre-commissioning and commissioning and test.
• Being present at and adding to tool box talks.
• Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and quality standards.
• Provide timely and accurate weekly reports on contract status, areas of concern, and upcoming activities.

You will be working for the UK search and rescue.
Your main tasks:
To carry out pre-driving checks inc: tyres, water, oils, lights, indicators, brakes, fuel and overall condition of vehicles.
To assist with the cleaning of aircraft, offices, secure cleans and associated work when requested (within health and safety regulations).
Project a smart and able attitude to our customers through, thorough work practises and a high degree of personal appearance at all times, ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures.
Ideally we are looking for ex-forces, however civilians with past experience will be considered.

THE ROLE

Therefore as a Business Development Manager it will be your role to go into consultants, architects and contractors ensuring the companies systems are specified. Each solution you provide will be unique, therefore to optimise your performance you will need to be adept and building relationships with multiple points of contact from maintenance engineers to board level.
