Reporting to the Site Manufacturing Manager, the Production Engineering Manager will be responsible for increasing production process efficiency on site. You will have budgetary responsibility for the Production Engineering department and you will be involved in capital projects (Industrialisation of Electrical Rotating Machines Manufacturing) as the site grows. With management responsibility for a team of skilled production engineers, you will implement measurement and work study systems and actively monitor and address process efficiency through relevant monitoring methods.

This role will require you to supervise Production Engineering and Production Industrialisation, driving culture change and continuous improvement in order to maintain and develop the facility in a safe manner, as well as driving the improvement of manufacturing methods, by using knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. You will also drive process risk analysis before establishing processes by using FMEA Process.

The Production Engineering Manager manages the analysis of the process capability, workflow and Design Layout of equipment/workstations/workspace for maximum efficiency by respecting lean principles and acts as a major agent for the analysis of quality issues (Le. Rework, defects) using the OROC problem solving techniques (Le. 5why's, 5W2H, PDCA, etc...). You will also be the link between the Engineering team and the Manufacturing department in order to improve the manufacturability of the product as well as getting as accurate as possible needs for the manufacturing of the rotating machines.

A Systems Assurance Engineer is now required to join this multi-skilled team based to provide Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental advice and assistance across the Company.

Your main duties will involve the preparation of pre-qualification documentation and the associated support and guidance for contract, engineering, commissioning and after sales activities, as well as reviewing and monitoring UK Health & Safety & Environmental legislation, accident and incident investigation, developing company Health, Safety, Quality & Environment documentation, maintaining systems and undertaking subsequent audits.

As Systems Assurance Engineer, you should be qualified to degree level or equivalent with experience in either electrical testing or commissioning and ideally with NEBOSH General Certificate or experience in Health & Safety Management systems. Where necessary, training will be given to meet current requirements. You should also be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.

Amongst your personal qualities, you will be a highly motivated and diligent team player with excellent communication/interpersonal skills and capable of working on your own initiative. Time Management skills and the ability to prioritise will be essential to work under pressure and meet deadlines. In addition, you should be physically mobile as occasional working away from the office within the UK and abroad is required. A current UK driving licence is necessary as well as a flexible approach to working hours, to respond to the fluctuating demands of the Company’s business.

6. Working with and directing CAD Draughtsmen to ensure drawings are completed on time and to the required standard.
