As Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for the performance analysis of existing components and development of new aftermarket products to improve performance of existing gas turbines. You will contribute to product development to produce components on time that fulfill market requirements regarding performance, quality and costs. You will also provide support in the development, validation and application of computational tools for use in product performance prediction and failure analysis.
Your responsibilities will be varied and will include the development, maintenance and application of gas turbine performance prediction methods to model and analyze industrial gas turbines. You will undertake the development and application of state-of-the-art network modelling methods and programs to analyze the flow behaviour, heat transfer and cooling in industrial gas turbine components. You will participate in product design reviews; assist in creating and maintaining process and product specifications; support the validation of analysis tools through laboratory and field testing of relevant products and components. Support of Sales, Design and Repair Groups in answering technology questions and solving generic problems will also be a part of your role.
