The CAD Technician (Drainage) will produce drawings as required and which follow the latest project standards, taking responsibility for their own designs, drawings and calculations.
Candidates must have sound ability and experience with Microstation XM/V8 in an infrastructure design environment, knowledge and experience of surface water drainage and primary/secondary foul drainage. Candidates must have proven success in contributing to a team oriented environment, good management skills, the ability to take responsibility and work under pressure to tight deadlines.

Highway Design Engineer

We are currently looking to recruit a Highway Design Engineer to work on a major international project based at Euston.
The Highway Design Engineer will
- Coordinate with other contributors to the project
- Supervise day to day highway design with team members
- Supervise CAD Technicians
- Be responsible for own designs, drawings and calculations and that of small design teams.
- Issuing work to graduate engineers and technicians.
Ideal candidates will have knowledge and experience of UK highway design, design standards, design experience of surface water drainage, road signs and lines, pavement and liaison with statutory undertakers. Candidates must have a strong commercial acumen, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be a proven leader and be able to work as part of a team.

This is a key role to ensure the efficient and safe delivery of water process construction contracts delivered through Thames Water’s Capital investment programme. It requires the management of contractors on site, the successful applicant will apply his skill and experience to manage risks and ensure that the projects that they are working on are delivered to time, cost and quality objectives with minimum disruption to existing processes, customers, the environment and third parties.
