Systems/Junior Project Manager - Kent

Systems / Junior Project Manager with experience of the systems engineering lifecycle to support the lead systems engineer in the partitioning and flow down of customer system requirements to sub-systems for an optical system. This multi-national project has just entered its systems requirements phase and dependant on the candidates experience and performance this role may develop significantly. Alternately other opportunities may exist within the optical payload group for the right person.

Preferred space experience, however experience in avionics or other industries that utilises requirement generation and subsequent verification flow would be acceptable. Optical experience would also be an advantage.

We are seeking a Design Review Engineer who will maintain Site Licence compliance, proactively providing authoritative advice and will act as the point of contact for the team for specific projects. Working within the team and with other Design Review Engineers and Engineering Leads, you will support decommissioning projects and optimize the safe commercial performance of the site.

As Design Review Engineer you will assist in the ownership and maintenance of the Design Authority for the Site, the Site Safety Case, configuration of the control plant, fulfilling the intelligent customer role and maintaining engineering standards for the site.

You will also assist in the delivery of projects by the supply of engineering and technical expertise, primarily in the form of authoritative advice your engineering discipline, verification of proposed changes on behalf of the Design Authority, out-of-line participation in project gate reviews and surveillance of compliance with Company and Industry Standards.

Qualified to at least HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline, you will have membership of an appropriate professional institution. With extensive experience in an operational or engineering environment, you will have direct experience in engineering and/or maintenance activities in a Nuclear Licensed Site as well as a wide experience of Control and Instrumentation equipment and safety cases.

As Design Review Engineer, a broad based knowledge of the operations of a Nuclear Licensed Site along with awareness of Health and Safety legislation and Site Licence, legislation and regulations associated with safe Operations is essential for this role, and knowledge of techniques of auditing and analysing events to identify root causes, human factors and adverse trends would be desirable.

CNC Miller - kent

CNC Miller/Programmer

Our client is one of the market leaders in heavy machining and engineering. They produce and repair new parts for paper mills, cable manufactures and the scrap industry. Based in Kent, they currently have a need for a CNC Miller/Programmer to join their busy production team.

The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC Milling, Programming and Machining on large components such as industrial rollers, presses etc. They will be proficient in either Fanuc controls or Heidenhain, be able to work from drawings and come from a manufacturing environment. They will also be friendly and able to fit into an active team environment.

Standard hours are 7am - 5pm Monday - Friday with overtime paid at 1.5. You can expect a rate of £10 - £14 per hour and there are benefits of a 6 monthly performance related bonus scheme and a company pension. This role will initially be a 3 month contract before going permanent upon which the salary will be between £25,000 - £30,000.
