Process Technician - Fareham

Overall Purpose/Objectives of Role
To assemble and test a product by following written/pictorial build procedures

Key duties:
1. To build assemblies in accordance with appropriate procedures
2. To carry out rework and modifications in accordance with relevant IPC standards
3. To compile test reports and other relevant documentation
4. To conduct basic test routines at sub-assembly and GA levels
5. To carry out finishing operations prior to shipment to customer
6. To maintain input to business information systems as appropriate

Production Planning Engineer (Constructive) - Portsmouth

Reporting to the Production Planning Manager, the successful applicant will have prime responsibility for creating work break down and zone structures. Principle accountabilities will also include:

To identify the work by work list / paragraph that needs to be planned.
Apply Production Planning methodology to group discreet elements of work.
Establish and maintain close liaison with satellite centres, sub contractors and production line managers and other elements of PPMC in order to agree structure.
Carry out evaluation of WBS as part of the continuous improvement process
Identify work specification issues for resolution and supply feedback on technical issues.
Active participation in the evaluation process to improve structures for future projects.

Candidates will have served a recognised apprenticeship within a marine / ship repair organisation and have in depth knowledge of production installation / repair structures and processes. You will have a proven track record in refit / installation / repair at either Fitter or Team Manager level. It is essential that you have good knowledge of RN platforms and systems.

You should have the capability to interface with other departments and production teams on a technical level and you will also be IT literate with the ability to implement new processes.

Your main responsibilities will include:
Inspect electrical/electronic/mechanical components, sub assemblies and assemblies against current issue drawings and parts lists
Carry out functional testing of sub-assemblies and final instruments
Assist the quality assurance function in completion of First Article Inspection requirements and defect investigation and analysis
Issue internal release documentation and act as a CAA-designated signatory for external release documents as required

Support Engineering department with inspection of prototype boards and sub assemblies and witness the testing of completed engineering units as required
You must have the following skills:
Experience of working within an electronic environment

Hydraulic Fitter - PORTSMOUTH

Vacancy Description Based in the Hydraulic department you will be involved in the refit of components and assembly of systems related to high-pressure air and hydraulics systems on board RN and commercial vessels. You will need experience of working on large-scale HP air and hydraulic systems, preferably within a marine environment.

The department work on these systems both afloat and within the Hydraulic workshop.

You will be capable of working with live HP systems (up to 4000 psi), working with various hydraulic couplings (including swagelock).
You will have awareness of hydraulic cleanliness procedures, general Marine fitting skills, experience of working with pipe systems and associated equipment and have previous use of flushing equipment (experience an advantage not essential).

You must be a time served tradesman or equivalent, and your indentures/trades papers will be required to be shown as proof upon the first day of employment.

Due to matters of national security, you must be in a position to obtain UK security clearance
