A Project Studies Manager is now required at this small but growing company in Bristol. They are recognized as the world leader in PRT development and are currently engaged in a series of studies to examine the effectiveness of their particular PRT system as a critical element of an integrated transport solution in a variety of applications. The role of the Project Studies Manager will be to lead this work and to take responsibility for the delivery of the study results to the client.

You will also ensure effective cost control against agreed budgets within the work breakdown structure. Through effective communication with the IPT and the Programme Office, you will ensure that change management is implemented as necessary to minimise the adverse effects of change on programme performance and customer relationships. You will be actively involved in the department's resource management process to enable appropriate and available personnel to be effectively shared across programmes.
Highly proficient in MS Project and Excel, you will have experience of managing technically complex projects involving multi-disciplined engineering teams. You will also have engineering and aerospace technical experience. You must have excellent numeracy and communication skills. Competency in SAP PS is desirable.

Working on a 3 month rolling contract basis and running on a renewable contract basis thereafter. The majority of contract staff there have been there 12 months + .
The successful candidate will have a general engineering background and good literal skills. Previous knowledge of Frame maker is required. You will be working autonomously creating the maintenance and service manuals for the machinery that is found throughout the world. The largest part of this role is research and interrogation based where you will be expected to find out how the kit works and what the most efficient way of maintaining the systems are. You will also produce documents to include Component maintenance manuals (CMM) for repair and overhaul, product service bulletins etc. You will interpret and understand engineering design drawings for both hydro- and electro-mechanical actuation products. You will organise and manage tasks to budget and on time using sub-contract external companies where necessary. You wil also assist with verification of CCM's.
You must have some experience as a Technical Author, or experience of working in an aircraft maintenance environment with actuation devices. Familiarity with publishing/word software and hydraulic/electronic knowledge would be desirable.
