They also produce ignition components for the industrial, marine, petrochemical and power generation markets. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a degree qualified Design Engineer with a mechanical/electrical background, ideally with an in depth business knowledge of the civil and military aircraft markets.
Our Major Aerospace Client are currently looking for 2 Junior Stress Engineers to be based in South Hampshire.
Key duties:
1.To develop innovative software solutions to meet the requirements of the project to agreed schedule, quality and cost requirements across the whole software development lifecycle within the context of the MAv lifecycle management process
2.To work with customers, other engineering disciplines and other internal departments across the software development process and respond to their requests in a timely and professional manner

General support to the commercial department to include the following activities:
Updating of SAP database with new projects, MPPs, etc including new supplier requests
Under necessary supervision, preparation of quotations and commercial proposals for small bids submitted by the Business Unit, including preparation of appropriate UK Terms and Conditions and/or review of customers' contract conditions.
The job holder carries out his/her mission within the Supply Chain Management organisation which conducts the sourcing, procurement and purchasing for the company (space transportation, satellites and services) over 5 countries and more than 14 sites.
In this organisation, a department is in charge of conducting process improvement by implementing new processes and state of the art tools.
This position will involve interfacing with the Galileo end customer, System prime (Galileo Industries) and Space Segment prime at all levels.
The role will therefore involve a high degree of organisation and flexibility in terms of overseas travel. In all scenarios, the Payload Systems Engineer will be required to technically represent the company with both customers and suppliers.
The primary objective of the role is to lead the Navigation systems engineering activities of a functional sub-group within the Galileo Full Operational Capability (FOC) Payload project team.
Qualifications and experience
Commercial, Contracts and/or Procurement functions experience and bid preparation experience are all essentials
Experience of contract management, particularly large contracts with a number of subcontractors is desirable.
A degree in Business, Law or Engineering would be an advantage.
Successful candidates will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
Support Project Requirements Engineering Manager in requirement traceability and document production within DOORS.
This job will involve working closely with other Requirements and Test Engineers and will include requirement flowdown, enforcing common standards and rigorous requirement traceability throughout the lifecycle of the project.

Payload Systems Engineer
The core objective of the role is the definition, design and specification of the Galileo Navigation Payload and RF and digital sub-systems. This will be achieved through analysis of payload and system level requirements, payload architecture trade-offs, payload performance analysis and derivation of sub-system and unit requirements. Particular emphasis is placed on assessment of compliance with performance parameters which relate directly to overall system performance (such as payload timing accuracy and stability) through analysis and modelling of system requirements including Signal In Space trade-offs, operational modes etc.
Ground Segment Manager
The Ground Segment Managers / Senior Engineer will be capable of integrating quickly into an established team and undertaking a range of tasks within the Navigation projects. The position requires a candidate with a background in satellite and mission control or systems integration, test and operations.
Payload Engineering Manager
An experienced RF systems engineer/manager is required to lead the payload systems engineering team and take responsibility for the systems engineering on a civil communications payload project.
The role will also involve carrying out, or delegating as appropriate, related tasks such as system design, system specification, system analysis, system integration, specification and definition of hardware, liaison with customer representatives, attendance at design reviews and meetings.
Support to platform/payload integration and testing will also be necessary and will involve some overseas travel.
Galileo Mission Segment Systems Engineer
Our Client is seeking an engineer for the opportunity to work under secondment from them for the Galileo Mission Segment team in Toulouse on a variety of ground segment systems engineering activities, with specific emphasise on system architecture and interfaces.
We require a Continuous Improvement Engineer - Green Belt or Black Belt to work for one of our aerospace/automotive clients.
Pay rate is negotiable.
Provide Product Assurance support for the Galileo Ground Support System (GCS) project, primarily in Germany but also at UK site or suppliers premises.
Control and manage PA activities conducted on the GCS project, including Customer interface, assessments, audits, reviews, non-conformance management, monitoring and witnessing of testing, documentation and certification by internal/external PA staff and manage other PA engineers at all levels.
Job purpose:
1. Responsible for the commercial management of designated contracts and sub-contracts within the Combat Systems,
Change Proposals to extant work including the Prime Contracts.
2. Ensure that sub-contract issues that impact on Prime Contracts are managed.
3. Manage/support business development opportunities as designated.
4. Co-ordinate/support Phase Review and Tender Vet actions as per Life Cycle Management processes.
5. Provide appropriate support to sub-contract management teams.
6. Manage or support other designated tasks as appropriate.
