Description
An opportunity has arisen for a high calibre and successful candidate to join our client in a newly created role as the Head of Technical Support in the tele-communications industry. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be a member of the senior management team responsible for providing full technical support for the Reverse Logistics Process.
The main accountabilities for this role are:
•Management of around 30 employees including the Quality Manager and Training Manager
•Ownership and development of relationships with manufactures.
•Ensure all staff are trained to the Manufacturers accredited standards
•Development of the current repair centre to ensure high service levels are met and exceeded
•Assist in the organisation and development of new business areas to maximise the repair centres potential to expand.
•Keep up to date with latest equipment, technology and industry changes.
•Ensuring all industry trends and changes are monitored and incorporated into the Continuous Improvement Plan.
•You will be responsible in managing the NPI process and ensuring end of line conformance by reviewing process quality, analysis of repeat repairs, fault trends and offer solutions to improve and enhance the service.
This is a critical hire in terms of managing and growing the current business including aiding further growth into other product areas. You will be a self-starter with the ability to demonstrate an innovative approach to getting results through leading others. You will need to be able to think strategically whilst having strong technical skills and experience in managing large technical teams. You will ideally have a background of 5 years or more within a fast moving, high volume electronic consumer product repair environment.
You will be highly customer focused and committed to providing high service levels.
You will be an excellent communicator as you will be the technical lead at all technical forums and have the ability to present to large groups of people (internal and external).
It will be an advantage to have excellent understanding and experience of Lean principals.
