Software Engineer
Degree Qualified C++ Software Engineer to specify, design, develop, document, install, maintain, manage and update as necessary software and systems.
This is a position for an all-rounder keen to develop different kinds of applications in different environments/languages for example.
- C++
- Multi-threaded Win32 services in C++ and COM
- Web based administration tools using PHP, Javascript and CSS
- IVR applications using VoiceXML/JavaScript
- Web Services
- Relatively complex database applications (SQL, stored procedures, table design)
Responsibilities:
To specify, design, develop, document, install and maintain software as directed. Software created will form part of our products, services and infrastructure. The primary tools (currently) are MS Windows, Visual Studio 2005, PHP, JavaScript and VoiceXML. Other tools and operating systems will be used where appropriate.
Liaison with other members of staff, as required, including providing training in the use of systems and procedures where appropriate.
Any other duties that are appropriate to the nature and salary of the post or as required by business needs. These include, but are not limited to, on-site visits, installation of and technical support our products.
