Installation, repair and maintenance, in our workshops and as and when required, off-site, of diesel engines and other products distributed

Main Purpose of the Position

Installation, repair and maintenance, in our workshops and as and when required, off-site, of diesel engines and other products distributed

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Completes repairs within target times and without rework following all published Workshop procedures and policies.
Ensures all relevant removed Parts are cleaned & labelled
Accurate and timely completion of Service Documentation, meeting Minimum Claims Documentation Requirements (MCDR)
Undertakes training in line with skill requirements and completes all "PromoPacs"
Develop apprentices/new hires and disseminates knowledge and experience to others
Maintain work area cleanliness
Ensures Personal tool kit meets 'minimum requirements' and is maintained to the appropriate standards
Comply with Company and Government legislation regarding
H & S (use of PPE etc)
Comply with Company and Government environmental legislation Other duties / responsibilities determined by the Workshop Foreman


EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATION REQUIRED

Minimum of 5 years experience diagnosing and repairing of diesel engines
Mechanical / Electrical experience
Truck shop/reconditioning/rebuilding experience
Electrical Theory and Troubleshooting
Brakes, Air and Hydraulics with Suspension, Cluthces and Air Systems
Welding and Trailer Maintenance

Minimum of City & Guilds or equivalent in mechanical engineering desirable
Completion of diesel engine apprenticeship essential
