We have an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Manager to join our Production team based in Broseley, Shropshire. Reporting to the Managing Director, the primary function of this role is to manage and oversee all aspects of the work shop, including management of 65 work shop employees and the Programming Department.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Manager to join our Production team based in Broseley, Shropshire. Reporting to the Managing Director, the primary function of this role is to manage and oversee all aspects of the work shop, including management of 65 work shop employees and the Programming Department.
With excellent people management skills, you will develop the teams skills, coach and mentor, encourage and motivate the team and deal with all aspects of absence management as well as disciplinary and grievance procedures along side our HR Manager. You will be responsible for improving productivity, whilst maintaining our high quality standards. You will be making necessary improvements to the workshop and machinery, ensuring that the companies Health and Safety procedures are adhered to at all times, and ensure all new machinery, plant and equipment meets appropriate standards and is assessed prior to use by employees and on site contractors.
The successful candidate must have a strong background in fabrication, ideally with experience of working within a similar role, where you are working with small batches and bespoke production. You must have excellent people management skills and knowledge of working within a production/warehouse environment. Reliable and committed, you will have a flexible approach to your work and working hours and you will be proactive, assertive and persistent. You will be confident when working with and managing people of all levels and take pride in being part of a winning team.
