Wind Tunnel Operator - Middlesex
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of a variety of wind tunnels and associated test equipment. Duties will include:
equipment and model preparation
model installation
model de-rigging
tunnel operation
online data acquisition and quality assurance
Requirements:
You will be numerate and computer-literate, with qualifications and/or experience in a technical discipline, preferably aerodynamics, engineering or similar. Experience of flow measurement techniques and wind tunnel operation and/or working in a testing laboratory environment would be a significant advantage, however you will receive full training. Good communication skills, written and verbal, are essential, as is the ability to work in a team and in a focused manner to strict deadlines. You will also need a commitment to producing high standards of work and a flexible approach to working hours.
Salary Guide:
£19k - £23k, but negotiable based on experience & qualifications, plus bonus and a range of benefits.
